RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES FOR THE POST OF BOOK BINDER ON

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HIGH COURT OF KARNATAKA.

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from applicants who are qualified as on the last date fixed for submission of applications for recruitment to 01 Post of Book Binder in the establishment of the High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru.

  1. Method of Recruitment: Selection of candidates will be made in accordance with the High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) Rules, 1973, as amended from time to time and the High Court of Karnataka (Direct Recruitment by Selection) Rules, 1984 as amended from time to time.

  2. Minimum Qualification:

    Must have passed Tenth Standard or equivalent and has got experience in Binding work for not less than three years/Diploma in Book Binding.

    3. Scale of Pay: 11600-200-12000-250-13000-300-14200-350-15600-400-17200-450-19000-500-21000.

    2. Probation: The applicant if appointed shall be initially on probation for a period of two years or for such extended period if necessary.

    3. Age limit: Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years and must not exceed the age of (as per Rule 6(1) of the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977):-

      1. 40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Category-I of other Backward Classes.

      2. 38 years in case of person belonging to Category-II-A, II-B or III-A, III-B of Other Backward Classes; and

      3. 35 years in case of others.

      4. As per Rule 6 (3) of the said Rule: Notwithstanding anything contained in Rule 6 (1) of the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977, the maximum age limit for appointment of a suitable candidate shall be deemed to be enhanced in the following cases to the extent mentioned, namely:-

        1. in case of an applicant who is working or holding a post under the Government of a local authority or a Corporation established by a State Act or Central Act or established by the Government under a State Act or Central Act and owned or controlled by the Government by the number of years during which he is or was holding such post or ten years whichever is less;

        2. in case of candidate who is an ex-serviceman - by three years plus the number of years of service rendered by him in the Armed Forces of the Union;

        3. in case of a candidate who is physically handicapped - by ten years;

        4. in the case of a candidate who is widow - by ten years;

        5. in the case of a candidate who is a bonded labourer by ten years;

      5. The minimum and maximum age limit will be as on the last date of applying for the post.

    4. Application fee: Every application shall accompany with Crossed Indian Postal Order / Demand Draft for Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and fifty Only) for General Merit and Other Backward Communities and Rs.100/- for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category -I and Physically Challenged candidates drawn in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru-560 001. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

    5. Last date for submission of application:-

      Applications complete in all respects shall reach the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru-560 001 on or before 20.03.2017 (05.00 PM). On top of the cover containing the application the following words shall be written:

      "Application for the Post of Book Binder"

      1. Applications received beyond the last date so fixed will be rejected.

      2. In-service candidates shall submit their application through their official superiors so as to reach the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru-560 001, not later than the date fixed for submission of applications.

        If the last date fixed for the submission of applications happens to be a General Holiday, the next working day shall be the last date for receipt of applications.
    6. Candidates Claiming Reservations shall enclose the copy of relevant certificates along with the application:

      1. The candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Category-I / II A / II B / III A / III B shall enclose the certificate in the form as prescribed by the Government of Karnataka, and issued by the competent Authority.

      2. The candidates claiming reservation under Rural / Physically Handicapped / Ex-Servicemen / Kannada Medium / Displaced from projects shall enclose the Certificates issued by Competent Authorities.

      1. The candidates claiming relaxation of upper age limit shall enclose relevant certificate issued by the competent authority.

      2. The candidates who are in service of Union of India/State Governments and their undertaking shall enclose the "No Objection Certificate" issued by the Authority. At the same time they shall specifically mention the number of years of holding of office, for claiming age relaxation as per column No. 7(d) (i).

    7. At the time of Verification of documents, the candidates shall furnish the original documents with regard to Educational Qualification, Caste, Date of Birth, reservations claimed with regard to Rural / Physically Handicapped / Ex-Servicemen / Kannada Medium / Displaced for projects/Widow for verification.

    8. The candidates shall furnish 3 character certificates (one from the last studied education Institution and 2 from the respectable persons) along with the application form.

      The candidates called for Viva-voce will have to appear for the same at their own cost.
    9. If a candidate is found attempting to procure extraneous support or influence of any kind for his or her candidature, is liable to be disqualified.

    10. If the information furnished by the applicant in the application is found to be false, his or her candidature is liable to be rejected and such candidate shall be liable for criminal prosecution.

  1. Method of Recruitment: Selection of candidates will be made in accordance with the High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) Rules, 1973, as amended from time to time and the High Court of Karnataka (Direct Recruitment by Selection) Rules, 1984 as amended from time to time.
