Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) for the project titled A Computational Study of Uniform Information Density Eects on Hindi Word Order in the eld of computational psycholinguistics.

Essential Qualication

Ph.D. in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics or Computer Science from a recognized University/Institute in India.

Desirable

Any one of the following are desirable for the position:

• Working knowledge of statistics and machine learning
  
  
• Knowledge of syntactic or psycholinguistic theories
  
  
• Experience in working with Python/R programming
  
  
• Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  
  

Job description

The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to fulll the following responsibilities:

1. Automatical analysis of linguistic data
   
   
2. Information-theoretic analyses of text data using standard statistical packages
   
   
3. Collecting reading time data for Hindi

• Age Limit: Applicant should not have completed 30 years of age at the time of application (relaxations can be made for exceptional candidates).

Duration: Till May 31, 2020

• Salary: Rs 40,000 + HRA per month
