WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The University requires to faculty on contractual basis to run the following courses at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha(Mirzapur), BHU for the academic session 2018-2019 (for engagement on initially for a period of 30 days) , which may be extended, if required.

The engagements of Demonstrator/Tutor/ Instructor posts are on purely job contract basis for specific work for the current academic session 2018-19 (initially for a period of 30 days), which may be extended, if required.

The candidates having minimum qualifications and fulfilling other eligibility conditions may appear for walk-in-interview alongwith their bio-data(affixed a photograph at it) enclosing therewith one set of photocopies of certificates and mark-sheets in support of qualifications and experiences, etc. at the Office of the Joint Registrar, Recruitment & Assessment Cell, Holkar House, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005, at 8.00 a.m. on the date as given against each :

QUALIFICATIONS(E.Q.= Essential Qualifications; D.Q.= Desirable Qualifications):

E.Q.: For post codes 1 to 5, 7, 8 ):

i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1,candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
v. The provision prescribed under Regulation 3.3.1, 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.4.2,3, 4.5.3 and 4.6.3 in the University Grant Commission (Minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and Colleges and other measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education) (3rd Amendment) Regulations, 2016 regarding exemption to the candidates registered for Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 shall stand amended by UGC Regulations 2016 dated 11.7.2016 and be read as under:

Provided further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
(c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
(e) Candidate has made at least two presentation in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

(a) to (e), as above, are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).

E.Q.: For post code (6): First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.

E.Q.: For post code (9): First Class Masters Degree in a relevant/allied management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM in relevant discipline declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC; OR, First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies; OR, i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in Commerce or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. D.Q.:Preference will be given to those candidates who have Masters Degree in Commerce/Management with 2 years teaching experience in Retail Management.

E.Q.: For post code (10): First Class Masters Degree in a relevant/allied management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM in relevant discipline declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC; OR, First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies; OR, i. GPAT Qualified. OR, (f) BMLT with 5 years teaching experience in Medical Laboratory Technology. Masters and Ph. D. Degree with three or more years of teaching /research /professional experience excluding the experience gained while pursuing PhD or any other lower degrees. The candidates should have masters degree in Medical Microbiology / Medical Lab Technology / Biomedical Technology / Biomedical Instrumentation / Medical Electronics / Medical Bio-Chemistry / Medical Physiology / Clinical Pathology/ Medical Pathology /Histopathology / BAMS or BDS or MBBS with 5 years teaching experience and PG Diploma in Pathology / M.D. (Ayurveda) Roga Vihyan and Vikriti Vigyan/ MD Pathology /MD Microbiology. The candidates should have demonstrated strong research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals of high impact factor and patents.

D.Q.: Skilled in Histology, Immuno histochemistry, Confocal Microscopy, light Microscopy and Analytical knowledge of image analysis software.

E.Q.: For post code (13): Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Masters Degree in Food Technology/ Food Science & Technology/Food Engineering/Food & Agricultural/Food & Dairy Engineering/ /Home Science/General Home Science/Family and Community Science. D.Q.:Doctoral degree in the relevant subject. Preference will be given to those candidates who have Masters Degree in Home Science/M.Tech. in Food Processing & Preservations and having teaching or Industrial experience in Food and Agro based Industry.

E.Q.: For post code (14): First Class Masters Degree in a relevant/allied management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM in relevant discipline declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC OR, i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree in Hospitality & Tourism with specialization in Hospitality & Tourism Management from an Indian University, or Masters Degree (Masters degree in Tourism Management / MTM/MTA/MBA in Tourism Management or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university .D.Q.: Preference will be given to those candidates who have Bachelor or Master Degree in Management or Commerce Specialization with Finance.

E.Q.: For post code (15): Masters Degree in Medical Lab Technology / Biomedical Technology / Medical Physiology/ Medical Biochemistry/Medical Pharmacology/ Medical Microbiology/ Medical Pathology/ Human Genetics / Molecular and Human genetics. Masters Degree in Any branch of life science with Diploma and PG Diploma in medical lab technology or clinical pathology or radiology with hands on expertise in routine lab techniques, special lab techniques, hematology, blood banking, serology, clinical pathology, clinical biochemistry, histology, cytology, parasitology, medical genetics, blood cell analysis.

General Instructions to the Candidates

2. The engagements of Demonstrator/Tutor/ Instructor posts are on purely job contract basis for specific work for the current academic session 2018-19 (initially for a period of 30 days), which may be extended, if required.
3. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other criteria shall be considered as on date of walk-in-interview.
4. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.
5. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason or may increase or decrease the number of posts.
6. Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Masters level in case of SC/ST//OBC/differently-abled candidates for the post of Assistant Professor as per UGC Regulations 2010 and its subsequent amendments from time to time.
7. The candidates should bring their original certificates/mark-sheets for verification at the time of walk-in-interview.
