A walk in interview is scheduled at the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Institute on 3rd October, 2018 at 10.30 AM for engagement of one Junior Research Fellow in DST funded project entitled Patho-Epidemiology and development of userfriendly immunodiagnostic assay for rapid detection of S. suis in pigs. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis, co-terminus with the project.

A. Qualifications: Essential: M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pathology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/allied disciplines of Veterinary Science; M.Sc. in life sciences with NET (NET qualification is essential for M.Sc. candidates).

Desirable:

Working knowledge in molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, cloning, expression in eukaryotic system, Western blot, ELISA, routine bacterial culture techniques and handling and management of laboratory mice.

Knowledge in computer application and data management.

B. Emoluments: Rs.25,000 per month plus HRA admissible as per DST norms.

C. Age limit: 35 years (relaxation admissible for women candidates as per Govt. of India norms).

D. Duration/Period of the project: up to July, 2021
