Advertisement for Temporary positions of Academic Staff

Applications are invited from candidates with qualifications and terms as mentioned for the following TEMPORARY POSITIONS in the Teaching Learning Centre (TLC).

1. Research Associate: ONE Post (Reserved for SC/ST Candidates only)

Key Roles/Responsibilities of the Research Associate and the Terms & Conditions:

i. The post is purely temporary within the pendency of the TLC Project of the MHRD or the period needed by the TLC, whichever is earlier.

ii. The Research Associate has to carry out research in any one of the fields related to Teaching, Learning, Evaluation, Development of Teaching-Learning Materials, ICT Tools for Teaching, etc., under the Mentorship/Guidance of the Coordinator, Teaching Learning Centre or a Member or Members of the TLC Core Team with proven expertise in these chosen areas.

iii. He/She has to assist the Coordinator of the Teaching Learning Centre and the Research Fellows in organizing various activities of the Teaching Learning Centre on priority basis.

iv. He/She is eligible to be a Co-Author along with the Mentor/Guide(s) and Research Fellows under the IPR regime.

v. Tools, Methods, Software, etc. developed through his/her research work will be the property of the NIT Warangal.

Essential Qualifications for the Post of the Research Associate:

1. PhD in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE/UGC/MHRD recognized Institute/University with a minimum of 55% (or 6 CGPA) at the M.Tech/M.E. level.

2. A minimum of 2 publications in Scopus/IEEE journals besides a few presentations in the Conferences/ Symposia (publications in pay-journals are not acceptable)

3. Upper age limit is 40 years as on 19-11-2018.

Salary for the Post: Rs 35000/- per month (consolidated).

2. Research Assistant: ONE Post (Unreserved)

Key Roles/Responsibilities of the Research Assistant and the Terms & Conditions:

i. The post is purely temporary within the pendency of the TLC Project of the MHRD or the period needed by the TLC, whichever is earlier

ii. The Research Assistant has to assist in carrying out research in any one of the fields related to Teaching, Learning, Evaluation, Development of Teaching-Learning Materials, ICT Tools for Teaching, etc., under the Guidance of the Coordinator, Teaching Learning Centre or a Member or Members of the TLC Core Team.

iii. He/She may register for the PhD Programme of the Institute if he/she meets the eligibility criteria for PhD Registration and if the Institute provided provision for PhD registration in the field of Education / Educational Technology. However, the financial support from the TLC is as per the condition at item (i) above only.

iv. He/She has to assist the Coordinator of the Teaching Learning Centre and the Research Fellows in organizing various activities of the Teaching-Learning Centre on priority basis.

v. He/She is eligible to be a Co-Author along with the Mentor/Guide(s) and Research Fellows under the IPR regime in case his/her work results in publication/presentation.

vi. Tools, Methods, Software, etc. developed through his/her assistance in research work will be the property of the NIT Warangal.

Essential Qualifications for the Post of the Research Assistant:

1. M.Tech/M.E. from an AICTE/UGC/MHRD recognized Institute/University with a First Class and with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA for general candidates; Second Class and with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST candidates.

2. Practical knowledge of computer programming, Data Mining, MS Office (MS Word, MS EXCEL, MS PowerPoint, Access, etc). Experience in web design and web-maintenance is desirable.

3. Good written and communication skills in English

4. Upper age limit is 30 years as on 19-11-2018

Salary for the Post: Rs 25000/- per month (consolidated)
