Applications are invited for a Project Associate/JRF position at IIT Gandhinagar for a consultancy project with a Silicon-valley start-up company. The work involves deep learning applications towards computer vision. Specifically, we are looking for barcode localization and reading systems using deep learning. Initial appointment will be until 31/07/2018 with possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funding.
Eligibility Criteria:
For the project associate post, A Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology or Electrical Engineering with good academic performance.
For the JRF position, a Masters degree in engineering in the above disciplines with a valid
NET/GATE score is needed.
Required qualifications
| 1) | Excellent knowledge and programming experience in Python. |
| 2) | Experience in UNIX/Linux and fluency with the command line. |
| 3) | Prior experience in Deep learning libraries like Caffe, Torch, TensorFlow etc is a must. |
| 4) | Prior experience in image processing and Computer Vision projects is a must. |
Compensation and terms of service:
The compensation ranges for Rs 15,000/-to 20,000/-per month for the project associate depending upon qualifications and experience. The compensation for the JRF post is 25,000/-per month.
