Qualifications:

Professor

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications books and/or research/policy papers.

(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process.

(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as set out in the Regulation, 2010/2016 (4th Amendment).

Consolidated API scores of 400 points is required from Categories II & III of APIs (Cumulative) alongwith other specified eligibility qualifications stipulated in the Regulations 2010, as amended vide UGC Gazette notification dated 11.07.2016.

OR

(B) An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Associate Professor

(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
(ii) A Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the Regulation, 2010.
(v) Consolidated API scores of 300 points is required from categories II & III of APIs (Cumulative) alongwith other specified eligibility qualifications stipulated in the Regulations 2010, as amended vide UGC Gazette notification dated 11.07.2016.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility
condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
(iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
(v) The candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor are requested to submit a certificate to the effect that the Ph.D. has been awarded in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, to get exemption from NET.
(vi) The candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor who were enrolled for Ph.D. before July 11, 2009 will be governed by the 4th Amendment, UGC Regulations 2016, which is as under:

Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for M.Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/ Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;

(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;

(c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;

(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;

(e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University instructions).

General Instructions for Applicants (Advertisement for University Faculty Positions)

Applicants should possess the prescribed qualifications and experience as on the closing date of application. Applicants are required to produce specific certificates as per eligibility conditions. The posts are being advertised keeping in view the broad areas of specialization in subjects. However, the Department concerned may have specific requirement of specialization.
The applications received shall be screened for short listing and as per recommendations, applicants will be called for interview.
Merely fulfilling the minimum qualifications or the eligibility criteria does not entitle an applicant to be necessarily considered or called for interview.
All correspondence from the University including interview letter, if any, shall be sent only to the e-mail address provided by the applicants.
No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending interview.
The University reserves the right to offer the post at a level lower than that advertised/applied, depending upon the qualifications, experience and performance of the candidate, wherever applicable.
Application Fee as prescribed should be enclosed with the Application Form. Application Forms received without the prescribed Fee shall not be entertained. Fee once paid will not be refunded in any case.
Applications, if not on prescribed format or incomplete or received after due date will not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for postal delay, if any.
Self-attested photocopy of supporting documents pertaining to age, educational qualifications, employment record, caste certificate (if applicable) etc. should accompany the Application Form. However, original certificates should be produced at the time of interview for verification.
Envelope containing application should be superscribed as Application for the post of (Name of Post) for (Name of the College/ Institute).
Qualifications, experiences etc. shall be reckoned as on last date of submission of applications.
The University reserves the right: (i) to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised without giving any reasons thereof. (ii) to cancel all and/or any position without assigning any reason thereof.
