General Instructions for candidates for appointment by selection for teaching (1) Fresh application on prescribed format along with enclosures and a bank draft of Rs 1500/- (Rupees One thousand Five hundred only) for General & OBC candidates and of Rs 750 (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) for SC/ST candidates in favor of Comptroller, Banda University of Agriculture & Technology, Banda U.P., payable at Banda, U.P. by registered post on or before the closing date 31st March, 2019 (5.00 pm). Applications not accompanied by the prescribed fee will not be considered. (2) No concession of Application Fee is admissible to SC/ST of Other state (3) There is no age limit for the posts of Professor and Associate Professor. However, for the posts of Assistant Professor, upper age limit for fresh candidates shall be 40 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation of 05 years in case of OBC and SC/ST category. (4) Reservation Rules as per the State Government of U.P. are applicable. The claimant for reservation must furnish the certificate as applicable, issued by the competent authority. (5) The posts will be filled on regular basis. These posts are temporary but likely to continue. (6) The main responsibility of the recruited faculty will be teaching of UG and PG Courses, development of course curriculum and establishment of laboratories. (7) The additional duties in research, extension, administration, development of farm & laboratories, etc. will have to be performed as and when assigned by the competent authority. (8) University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts; fill or cancel any of posts in any of the subjects/disciplines listed above without assigning any reason. (9) Candidates, who wish to apply for more than one post, should submit, separate Applications along with bank draft of prescribed Application Fee for each post. (10) The last date for receiving the applications in the University office is 31st March, 2019 (5.00 pm). The applications received after the last date shall stand rejected. Applicants should clearly note that the University will, in no case, be responsible for non receipt of their applications and any delay in receipt thereof on any account. (11) In-service candidate should send his/her application through proper channel. However, advance copy of application along with application fee should reach before the closing date. 12) As per the Gazette of India part III- Section 4, Dated 11 July 2016, UGC, New Delhi, the relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled)/ other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during direct recruitment of teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures should be read for qualifications/eligibility criteria for all the teaching posts. (13) Following documents should be attached with the Application:

(i) Bank draft of prescribed Application Fee.
(ii) One latest colored passport size self attested photograph should be pasted on the application form.
(iii) Medical fitness Certificate (Annexure2).
(iv) Certificate from Personnel Office for in-service candidate (Annexure 3).
(v) Reservation Certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable).
(vi) Attested copies of certificates of essential qualifications including Testimonials, transcripts, certificates, degrees, NET, etc.
(vii) Experience certificates.
(viii) List of publications in the format provided (Annexure1).
(ix) Other supporting documents.

(14) An application form will be summarily rejected in the following events:

(i) If a candidate submit more than one application form for a particular post.
(ii) If the application is not in the prescribed format.
(iii) If the application is unsigned/incomplete.
(iv) If the experience certificate is without detail of salary per month received & not issued by competent authority.
(v) If the application form is received after the closing date. If a candidate does not possess the requisite academic qualifications on the closing date.
(vi) If the candidate is under age/over age on the closing date.
(vii) If Application Fee in the form of bank draft is not attached.

(15) Candidate should submit his/her Application complete in all respects along with bank draft and other essential and supporting documents, either personally on any working day or through registered post/speed post to Director Administration & Monitoring, Banda University of Agriculture & Technology, Banda- 210001, Uttar Pradesh. The University will not entertain applications received after due date. (16) The envelope containing Application Proforma complete in all respects must be superscripted as Application for the post of . (17) Having fulfilled the essential qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for interview. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. In case the number of candidates in given subject is large, University might conduct a written examination also for the purpose of screening before interview. (18) No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview. (19) The University is governed by the Act & Statutes of the Agriculture University Act 1958 of Uttar Pradesh, as amended from time to time. Associate Professor

(3) An eminent scholar with minimum of 08 years experience of T/R/E at Assistant Professor or equivalent level (excluding period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree) in the Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 or revised pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of 5400/60007000/8000 as per 6th pay commission. Desirable: Teaching Experience at UG and PG level in the concerned discipline, and research papers published in national/international refereed journals Note: (i). For the post under serial No. (21) B.Sc. (Hons) Home Science/ B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science degree with four years degree programme is essential. Rest of the qualifications is same as above. (ii). For the post under serial No. (22) B.Sc. (Hons) Home Science/ B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science/B.Sc (Hons) Nutrition and Dietetics degree with four years degree programme is essential. Rest of the qualifications is same as above.

Assistant Professor

Essential: - (1) Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.

(2) For the candidates having Master's degree, NET shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations, 2009 (and also as per ICAR letter No. 23(46)/2010-EQR (Edn.) dated 26thDecember, 2011, issued by ADG (EQR)), and the candidate has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating of not less than 4.0 on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not be considered for NET exemption. (3) Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M. Phil/Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions: - (a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only; (b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; (c) Candidate had published two research papers out of which at least one in a refereed journal from out of his/her Ph.D. work; (d) The candidate had presented two papers in seminars/conferences from out of his/her Ph.D. work; (e) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice- Chancellor/ Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions)/Director (Resident Instructions). Desirable: Ph.D. in relevant discipline Note: For the posts under serial No. (23) to (25) B.Sc. (Hons) Home Science/ B.Sc. (Hons) Community Science degree with four years degree programme is essential. Rest of the qualifications is same as above.

Subject Matter Specialist (Soil Science)

Masters degree in Soil Science or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University. Desirable: (1) Doctoral degree in relevant subject. (2) 2 years experience in Agricultural extension programme.
