Lead a team of engineers in successful execution and completion of facility expansion project in assigned BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Overall planning and execution of project within defined time and budget- this includes among other things, project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, setting up SOPs and control systems, providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Lead value engineering efforts to optimize costs and schedule

Review project progress at site, implement project acceleration techniques, identify and mitigate risks

Hold regular review meetings, preparing regular MIS Reports, lead meetings with PMC and other project agencies on site

Tendering, quantity surveying, certification, and approval of vendors and service providers invoices.

Work with the Architects to the Project, major and minor construction firms, vendors and suppliers of goods and services to expedite deliverables

Liaise with Government, statutory and regulatory and other local authorities as required

Compliance to Health, Safety standards applicable

Qualification and Personal Profile

Bachelors degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering, masters degree and/ or Project Certification preferred. Applicants with Diploma in Civil Engineering can also apply.

Experience: 15-20 years for graduate engineers (Exp: above 22 years for Diploma holders) in successfully managing facility projects, experienced in independently

managing sizeable project from start to finish or as no. 2 in large projects, proven track record of completing projects within time and cost constraints

Technical Competency: Knowledge of latest civil construction techniques, experience with mechanical, electrical and plumbing works in facility projects, experience with project scheduling software like MS Project

Behavioral Competency: Good people management skills with evidence of being able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders, proven leadership skills with ability to motivate team members, strong process orientation, deadline driven

Other Skill and Ability Requirements

Completion of project as per time lines within cost and as per specifications/standards

Compliance of Safety, Health Standards & all applicable statutes-No non compliance

Remuneration

Between Rs. 23 to 26 Lakhs per annum. An appropriate housing facility will be provided within the campus.
