CALL FOR RESEARCH ASSISTANT (RA)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Assistant to work on the following project sponsored by Azim Premji University, under the supervision of Prof. Sunny Jose, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Bheemehswar Reddy A Department of Economics and Finance, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

Title of the project: Womens Employment, Interstate Variations and Time-use: A Comparative Study of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh

No. of posts: One (Temporary)

Duration: Time bound for a period of 18 months only

Fellowship amount: Rs 20,000 per month initially for 5 months and Rs. 25,000 per month thereafter (Consolidated).

Eligibility requirements

M.A./ M.Phil. in Social Sciences

(Economics/Development Studies/ Public Policy)

The research involves analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, hence candidate should have keen interest in data analysis (training in data analysis would be provided).

The project position can be converted into a PhD fellowship, if the candidate is willing to pursue a PhD.

Shortlisted candidates will receive emails for the selection interview. Please note that only qualified and suitable candidates will be called for interview to be held at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

Note

1. Candidates must show all the original certificates while they attend the interview in person

at the Dept. of HSS, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

2. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.

3. If performance of the RA is not found satisfactory during the service, position can be

terminated with one month of prior notice.

4. The RA may resign through a 3 months advance notice at any point of their contract.
