CALL FOR RESEARCH ASSISTANT (RA)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Assistant to work on the following project sponsored by NALSAR, under the supervision of Dr. Lavanya Suresh, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

Title of the project: Alternative ways of understanding ecological conservation practices to enable justice for all

Name of the post: Research Assistant (RA)

No. of posts: One (Temporary)

Duration: Time bound for a period of 4 months only

Fellowship amount: Rs. 20,000 per month (Consolidated)

Eligibility requirements

• B.A/M.A./ M.Phil./PhD in Social Sciences
  
  

(Political Science/Sociology/Anthropology/DevelopmentStudies/Economics/Gender Studies/Human Rights/Social Work)

• Strong command over MS Word/Excel is required
  
  
• The candidate has to have good command over Telugu and English (Spoken and written)
  
  
• Candidate must be willing to travel
  
  

Desirable

• Candidates with prior experience in the social sciences related field work, data collection and data analysis
  
  
• Lives in and around Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

Shortlisted candidates will receive emails for the selection interview. Please note that only qualified and suitable candidates will be called for interview to be held at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

Note

1. Candidates must show all the original certificates while they attend the interview in person

at the Dept. of HSS, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.

2. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.

3. If performance of the RA is not found satisfactory during the service, position can be

terminated with one month of prior notice.

4. The RA may resign through a 3 months advance notice at any point of their contract.
