Parallel Reservation :As per the relevant Government Resolutions the parallel reservation in the category of Female, Physically Handicapped and Sports Persons is applicable to these posts. Accordingly the reservation have been calculated. As per the relevant provisions the parallel reservation in the applicable categories is as follows.

1)Female : One post of Assistant Professor each in the disciplines of Agril. Botany, Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Pathology under Open category shall be filled in from Female category if suitable female candidate is available.

2)Physically Handicapped :If suitable candidate is available one post of Associate Professor and one post of Assistant Professor shall be filled in under PH (OL/OA) category from any of the above disciplines.

The parallel reservation shall be governed by the relevant Government Resolution issued from time to time.

QULIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE--

A

Associate Professor -

Essential Qualification-

1) A Ph.D. in respective discipline;

2) A minimum eight years of experience in teaching or research or extension education in the position of Assistant Professor or its equivalent ; in a University or accredited grant-in-aid College, Recognized Research Institution excluding the period of Ph.D.;

3) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and course and technology mediated teaching-learning process with evidence of having guided two post graduate students worked on advisory committee of five post graduate students in the discipline where masters programme is not available.

4) Evidence of at least five published papers in recognized journals having National Academy of Agricultural Science Rating;

5) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).

B

Assistant Professor -

Essential Qualification-

1) Ph.D. in relevant discipline;

OR

Masters degree in relevant discipline from an accredited University along with National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by Indian council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) / University Grants Commission (UGC) / Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) like State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET).

2) National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/ State Eligibility Test (SET) shall also not be required for such masters programme in disciplines for which National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET) is not conducted.

AGE LIMIT:

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR :Maximum age limit 45 YEARS ASSISTANT PROFESSOR : Maximum age limit 38 YEARS

The maximum age limit is relax-able by 5 years for reserved category.

There shall be no upper age limit for applicants working on regular establishment in Agricultural Universities in Maharashtra / Other recognized Universities / Government (Central/State/Semi)/ Accredited Grant-in-aid Colleges.

In service applicants availing the age relaxation will have to submit a certificate to the effect that he is working on regular establishment in pay scales of the post working on along with his salary certificate. Candidates working in Grant-in-Aid Colleges will have to submit a certificate of the competent authority clearly mentioning status of the Accreditation of the concern Institute.

However the age limit prescribed for open category shall be applicable to the reserved category candidate desiring to apply for open category post. The maximum age limit is relaxable for

Physically handicapped, Ex-service man and Sports person as per the Govt. of Maharashtra resolution.

The applicable amount of application fees should be remitted in the University Account as per the instruction given in the online application form available on University web-site www.pdkv.ac.in

The application fees shall not be refunded in any case.

HOW TO APPLY:

Online application is divided in three parts i.e. Part-A, Part-B (I,II) & Part-C with Self-Assessment Form. The candidates will have to fill in the information in these parts on the web based application form made available on the University web-site. After filling up the application he will have to generate a copy of the same. The copy so generated should be sent to this office along with all the necessary testimonials and documents. The candidate should mention the page numbers manually where ever necessary. The applicant should submit the necessary proof in support of the claims made by him in the application. Unsupported claims shall not be considered. The incomplete application shall summarily be rejected. Such application in the prescribed format along with relevant enclosures and all the relevant testimonials duly filled-in, in all respect and the self attested copies of certificates for Educational Qualifications, Experience, Date of Birth, Caste Certificate (if applicable) &Caste Validity Certificate (if available) and Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable), Reprints of Research Publications, API Score card verified by respective IQAC of the University / Institute.

The applicant should put his signature, name, date, place and page number wherever necessary after getting printout of the application. Application with original signature only will be accepted. The candidates under reserved category will be considered for the posts under open category only if, they fulfill the relevant conditions of age, fees, eligibility etc. prescribed for open category.

The hard copy of application and testimonials should be on A-4 size paper with due indexing and paging. The manual entries and signature wherever shall be made preferably in blue ink. The sequence of the application form should be preferably as given below.

LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

1. The necessary link to fill in the application form on the University web-site www.pdkv.ac.in will be available from 2nd January, 2017.

2. The last dat for submission of application form (hard copy along with documents) shall be 03/02/2017 during the office hours.

3. The last date for receipt of physical application posted from abroad and from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep, Minicoy & Aminidevi Island, States, Union Territories in the North Eastern region, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Sikkim, Pangi, Sub Division of Chamba, Lahul&Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh will be 15/02/2017.

4.The candidates working on permanent establishment will have to submit the hard copy of the application only through proper channel along with the forwarding letter of the competent authority on or before 15/02/2017, however the candidate should submit an advance copy of the application before the last date i.e. 03/02/2017. The in-service applicant will also have to submit No Objection Certificate at the time of interview, except for the applicants working under this University.

SHORT LISTING CRITERIA :

1. Short listing of the candidates for the posts of Associate Professor will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the applicants per Column (1) & (2) of Table 6 (b) of Appendix II of Statute 52 of M.A.U. (K.Vs) First Amendment 2014.

2. Short listing of the candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the applicants per Column (1) of Table 6 (a) of Appendix II of Statute 52 of M.A.U. (K.Vs) First Amendment 2014.

3. Mere eligibility does not vest any right to the candidate of being called for assessment of Domain Knowledge and Teaching Skills & Interview.

4. The University reserves the right to

call or not to call the candidate for further evaluation.

5. The list of so short listed candidates to be called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview will be displayed on the University website.

6. Maximum Five candidates per post in order of merit shall be called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview. Last candidate in order of merit and the candidate(s) seeking equal marks to him shall be called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview even if the number of candidates to be called exceeds the limit of five candidates per post.

ASSESSMENT OF THE CANDIDATES

The Assessment of the Candidates applying for the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor shall be done as per the provisions laid down under Statute 52 and its relevant annexures.

General Conditions and Instructions

1.

The detailed Advertisement, application form and evaluation criteria, are available on University website www.pdkv.ac.in

2.

The selection criteria for the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor shall be as per Table 6 (b) and Table 6 (a) of Appendix II of Statute 52 of M.A.U. (K.Vs) First Amendment 2014 respectively.

3.

As per the Statute 133, the candidate should be (i) citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Sikkim or (iii) subject of Nepal or (iv) a subject of Bhutan or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma (Myanmar), Ceylon (Sri Lanka), East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania, with the intension to settle permanently in India or (vi) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intension to settle permanently in India. Provided a person belonging to any of the categories (iii, iv, v & vi) of the above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been given by a State Government and further if he belongs to category (v) of the above condition, the certificate of eligibility shall be valid only for a period of one year from the date of appointment beyond which he can be retained in service only if, he has became a Citizen of India. The any amendments made to this by State or Government of India time to time in this regard shall be applicable.

The candidates if appointed will have to acquire requisite knowledge of computer application and to produce certificate as required under government resolution dated 19th March, 2003 within a period of two years.

5.

The candidate(s) belonging to the reserved categories should produce caste certificate & caste validity certificate issued by the competent authority in prescribed format. The selected candidate from the reserved category may produce their caste validity certificate within the period of six months from the date of his/her joining, if the same is not available with the candidate at the time of applying for the post.

6.

Candidates applying for the posts under reserved category except SC/ST category should submit Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the competent authority valid on the last date of submission of online application.

7.

For Female Open category post, the candidates will have to produce the requisite Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the competent authority valid on the last date of submission of application.

8.

For the post of Associate Professor, the candidate should submit score card of Academic Performance Indicator of Category-I & II for a period from academic year 2009-10 to 2014-15 on annual basis and for Category III, of entire career duly issued by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the concerned University / Institute. The scoring system for API shall be as envisaged in the Appendix II of Statute 52.

The University / Institute those do not have the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) should submit the application along with API in Category I, II & III. The formats of API are available on the University web-site. The candidate has to attached certificate issued by competent authority mentioning that the API system is not yet established in their University / Institute.

The selected candidate will have to complete the probation period of two years satisfactorily failing which appropriate action will be initiated as per the provision of the concerned rules.

10.

All the Photo Copies enclosed with the application form must be Self Attested.

11.

As per Government Notification dated 28-03-2005, applicant is required to execute an undertaking that he/she does not have more than two living children after 28th March, 2006 in the Form A, even if he/she is unmarried.

12.

Incomplete application/sin any form or application/s without signature and the application/s received after due date will not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay.

No documents shall be accepted after receipt of application.

13.

The candidates should possess the minimum required educational qualifications, age and experience as on preceding date of advertisement i.e. 29/12/2016.

14.

University reserves all rights to fill or not to fill-in of the vacancies advertised. So also University reserves its right to give or not to give an appointment to the candidates though recommended by the Selection Board.

15.

The candidate should be himself / herself confirm his / her eligibility for the post applied for, before submission of application. No correspondence, whatsoever, in this regard shall be made / entertained.

16.

The candidate will have to submit the relevant documents strictly as per the claims made by him in the application form. Failing to which, the application will be rejected.

17.

As per the Govt. Circular dated 03/07/2004, the experience of clock hour basis, periodical/part time, on stipend, visiting Professor/contributory Lecturer, service without pay and worked as I/c Officer and holding additional charge will not be considered.

18.

The University reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of vacancies.

19.

In case of variation or change in name of the applicant, the concerned will have to submit Self Affidavit or Govt. Gazette respectively to that effect with the application form.

20.

The University has not notified the posts sanctioned under the ICAR Schemes under Plan which are most likely to be continued. However in case of termination of the Project by ICAR or change in sanctioned positions the services of the candidate in the respective discipline / subject who is junior most may be terminated.

21.

The candidates newly entering in University services after their selection will have to appear for Post Recruitment Examination (PRE) in accordance with the terms and condition of Executive Council Resolution No.EC/04/2016 dated 08/01/2016.

22.

If any false information / documents is submitted by the applicant, he / she shall be disqualified at any stage.

23.

CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL BE A DISQUALIFICATION.
