The Govt. of Uttarakhand has established VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry (VCSG UUHF) by an Act of State Legislative Assembly [The Uttarakhand Krishi Evam Prodhyogik Vishwavidhyalaya (Amendment) Act, 2001 {Uttarakhand Act No. 13 of 2011}] dated28th April, 2011 with Notification No. 732/XIII-II/2011-12 dated 26 September, 2011. The University invites applications for filling-up the following Government approved vacant posts on deputation basis, initially for a period of one year which may be extended on year to year basis up to a maximum period of three years or till filling-up of the posts through direct recruitment, whichever is earlier. 1. Name of the Post: Joint Director (Extension) - 01 Post

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (AGP: Rs. 10000/- p.m.)

Essential qualifications:

a) The incumbent should have doctorate degree in horticulture/ forestry/ agriculture with consistently good academic record.

b) The incumbent should have 15 years of experience in Extension, Teaching (UG/ PG level) and Research and should be working as a Professor or equivalent in the AGP of Rs.10000/- in Central/ State Govt. University / Educational / Research Institution for at least 03 years.

c) Evidence of contribution towards extension work as supported by published work/innovations. Experience in planning/ execution/ coordination of extension education programmes pertaining to horticulture/ forestry/ agriculture disciplines.

Desirable qualifications:

a) Extension work experience in temperate horticulture/ forestry /agriculture. b) Experience of handling extension based projects including KVKs.

Job Profile:

The incumbent on the post shall be responsible for coordinating extension activities of the University including extension projects and KVKs. The incumbent shall be required to plan, organize, monitor extension programmes of the University. The incumbent shall also be expected to coordinate with State functionaries.

2. Name of the Post: Additional Director (Research) - 01 Post

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 (AGP: Rs. 10000/- p.m.)

Essential Qualifications:

a) The incumbent should have doctorate degree in horticulture/ forestry/ agriculture with consistently good academic record.

b) The incumbent should have 15 years of experience in Research, Teaching (UG/ PG level) and Extension and should be working as a Professor or equivalent in the AGP of Rs.10000/- in Central/ State Govt. University / Educational / Research Institution for at least 03 years.

c) Evidence of contribution towards Research, Teaching and Extension work as supported by published work/innovations. Experience in planning/ execution/ coordination of research programmes/activities in horticulture/ forestry/agriculture disciplines.

Desirable:

a) Research experience in temperate horticulture/ forestry/ agriculture.
b) Experience of handling major research projects.

Eligibility (for posts at Sl. No. 01 & 02)

1. Officers/Faculty working in regular service at UGC recognized Universities /Research Institutions / Statutory and Autonomous organizations and the Department of Central / State Govt. / Union Territories / Public Sector undertakings shall be eligible to apply for the above mentioned posts.

2. The maximum age limit should not exceed 57 years for the candidates where superannuation age is 60 years, 59 years where superannuation age is 62 years and 62 years for those candidates where superannuation age is 65 years as on closing date of receipt of applications.

General Instructions -

(1) The incumbents selected for the above mentioned posts shall be required to join his/ her duties as early as possible.
(2) The screening committee will screen the applications, and will recommend the candidature for appointment on deputation basis. However, if required, the candidates may be called for personal discussion.
(3) No T.A./D.A. shall be admissible in case the candidate is called for personal discussion.
(4) The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts mentioned above.
(5) If at any time, even after the selection and the appointment of the candidate, it is found/ detected that any document/ information submitted by the candidate is incorrect or that the candidate has concealed/ suppressed any information, appropriate action shall be taken against him/ her as per rules which may even lead to the cancellation of his/ her deputation.
(6) If the incumbent desires to go back to his/her parent department before the completion of deputation period, he/she shall be required to give at least one months notice to the University in this regard. Likewise, if the performance of the incumbent is not found satisfactory, then the University will have the right to send the incumbent back to his/ her parent department after giving one months notice.
(7) The other terms & conditions of the deputation with regard to deputation allowance etc. shall be governed by the Uttarakhand State Government Rules.
(8) The incumbent shall be posted at any of the campuses as per the requirement of the University.
(9) The area of jurisdiction for any legal dispute shall be District Court at Pauri Garhwal and Uttarakhand High Court at Nainital.
