AT ANNAI SATHYA DISTRICT SPORTS STADIUM, THANJAVUR

1. Army Recruitment Rally under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai will be conducted by Army Recruiting Office Tiruchirappalli from 02 Aug 2017 to 10 Aug 2017 at at Annai Sathya District Sports Stadium, Thanjavur to enroll eligible candidates into the Army from fourteen districts of Tamil Nadu i.e. Perambalur, Ariyalur, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and one district, Karaikal of UT Puducherry in Soldier Technical, Soldier Technical (Avn & Amn Examiner), Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Soldier Tradesman Categories. Candidates will have to apply online only, on the official web site www.joinindianarmy.nic.in from 18 Jun 2017 to 17 Jul 2017. Admit card will be issued online after 17 Jul 2017. Candidates are requested to bring their admit card and application at the rally site. Date and time of reporting at rally site will be mentioned on the admit card. Print out of admit card can be taken after 17 Jul 2017 from www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

2. Recruitment Programme. Date and time of Screening of documents, Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test will be intimated to the candidates on their registered e-mail ID and will also be mentioned on the Admit Card.

Notes

(a) Candidates with 10+2 Vocational Subjects are not eligible for Soldier Technical & Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical categories. They can apply for Soldier Tradesman/Soldier General Duty if meeting required percentage of marks in class 10th as per para 4 (d) & (e) of eligibility conditions.

Candidates who are below 18 years of age will have to bring their parents consent certificate.

• Sportsmen who have represented India at International level and State at National level and even if they have not obtained 1st/2nd position are eligible for relaxation in physical standards and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination (if passed subsequently) as per laid down policies on the subject.

  Sportsmen who have represented district at state level and university team or regional team at district level and have earned 1st/2nd position will be eligible for physical relaxation and bonus marks in Common Entrance Examination ( if passed subsequently) as per laid down policies on the subject.

(f) With effect from Jan 2014 for Clerk category, the entire question paper (all 50 questions) will be attempted on OMR Sheet and no separate subjective answer sheet will be used for English section.

CANDIDATES WILL REPORT TO ANNAI SATHYA DISTRICT SPORTS STADIUM, THANJAVUR (TAMILNADU) AT 0030 HRS ON THE SCHEDULED DATE AS PER THE PROGRAMME GIVEN IN THEIR ADMIT CARD ON THEIR E-MAIL ID.

Notes:-

1. The candidates who have passed cl 10th with GPA/ grade sys will also carry their mark sheet showing marks in figure obtained from respective board. The marks sheet may be produced preferably during the rally and is a mandatory requirement for appearing in the CEE.

1. Age Group. Age of the candidate will be counted as on 01 Oct 2017. Age criteria for recruitment rally will be as under:-

1. Other Conditions.

   1. The candidates should be medically fit to join Indian Army at the time of Rally.

      (b) For Candidates below the age of 21 years,Indian Army will enroll only unmarried candidates.

      (c) Tatoo/Engraving. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoo mark on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.

2. Registration. All candidates are required to register themselves online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and apply online wef 18 Jun 2017 to 17 July 2017. Kindly read instructions for registration and filling application forms on HQ Rtg Zone, Chennai web page of the join Indian army website.

   Selection Procedure. The under mentioned tests are mandatory for all:-

   1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):-

      (i)1.6 KM Run for all categories

      • Gp- I (Less then 5 min 30 secs)

      • Gp-II - (5 min 31 secs to 5 Min 45 secs)

      1. 9 Feet Ditch Jump

         Pull Ups : minimum six

         Balancing Beam

         (b) Physical Measurement Test (PMT). As per eligibility requirement of category given at Paragraph 4 (Eligibility Conditions).

         1. Medical. The Medical Examination will be carried out on dates given by Medical Team. Candidates to check for date of Medical Examination at rally site. Candidates referred to MH at rally site will report to concerned specialist at MH Chennai / CH (AF) Bangalore along with 03 x latest passport size photographs. Candidates will ensure that review medical is carried out on the dates given to them.

            Common Entrance Examination. All the candidates who have been declared fit at rally site in the Medical Examination will undergo a Common Entrance Examination conducted by Army Recruitment Office Tiruchirappalli at the location and date of CEE will be informed on the spot /will be intimated later.

         Document Required. Candidates are advised to bring the following documents in original on the day of rally as per programme. The documents should be laminated, arranged properly in a sequence and contained in a file cover along with one set of Photostat copy of each duly attested by a Gazetted Officer with his name and seal in English. Candidates are advised to check their certificate and Marks Sheet for mismatch of name, Date of Birth, Parents name, School and other particulars in various certificates. All documents and seals should be in ENGLISH:-

1. 1. SSC Mark Sheet (class X).

   2. Intermediate Mark Sheet (XII).
      

      1. Degree Mark Sheet and certificate.

         Nativity, Community, Caste & Date of Birth Certificate.

         Candidates to produce latest automated Nativity, Community and Date of Birth Certificate issued by District Administration of Tamil Nadu / UT of Puducherry in English. (Residence Certificate holders are not allowed to participate in the rally).

         Study and Conduct Certificate from last education institute in English (Not more than six month old).

      Character Certificate from Village Sarpanch /Administrative Officer in English. (Not more than six month
      old).
      

      1. Transfer certificate in original in ENGLISH.

         NCC/Sports/ITI & Computer certificate of O++ level if held.

      
      

      1. In case of Non Matric Candidates, Transfer Certificate signed by Headmaster/Principal of the school & countersigned by District Education Officer and Mark Sheet of last examination appeared, duly affixed with school seal and attested by Headmaster. Seal and language should be in English.

      2. Twelve latest coloured 34mm x 45mm passport size photographs not taken earlier than six months with Name and Date of Birth printed on bottom of photographs of the candidates. The photograph should be without facial hair

      (Beard) and preferably with light coloured background and plain/light coloured shirt.

2. SOS/SOEX/Son of war widow & battle casualty

   1. There is provision for instant enrolment for Son of Service person and Ex-servicemen. Sons of War Widows and Battle Casualties, Eligible candidates to contact concerned Army Recruiting Office.

      
      

      1. In case of son of serving soldier of JCO/OR or Officer/son of Ex Servicemen, relationship certificate duly signed by Chief Record Officer/Senior Record Officer of respective Record Office with date of birth, Joint Photographs of the candidate with his father will be produced.

      2. In case of the recruitment of dependent of Servicemen/Ex-servicemen, an affidavit duly authenticated by Notary/Class-I Magistrate to be given by the parent of the candidate that only one son/brother will be taking bonus marks to get enrolled in the Army. Format of affidavit is attached with the notification.

3. Pay and Allowances and other Facilities. After enrolment a soldier is entitled to get basic pay approx Rs 23,000/- per month as per 7th Pay Commission and allowances as admissible along with other facilities such as free ration/ ration money, clothing, medical for self and accommodation, Railway warrant for self and dependents, Group Housing Scheme, Army Group Insurance Scheme of Rs 25,00,000/-. The other privileges are fully paid Annual Leave up to a maximum of 60 days, Casual Leave up to a maximum of 30 days, Medical Leave as recommended by Medical authorities and

Leave Encashment up to 30 days in a calendar year and maximum 300 days in service..

1. Pension. Service pension is admissible to an individual on completion of mandatory minimum service and subject to rank.

1. Promotion. A Sepoy can become an officer/ Junior Commissioned Officer subject to certain laid down service conditions.

1. Advisory.

   1. Candidates to be self contained for food and water on the day of documentation, the day of screening and the days of medical examination. No candidate will be allowed to go out of the rally ground during the documentation/screening/medical tests.

      1. Candidates are advised to report to the rally site strictly as per programme given on the Admit Card to avoid overcrowding and unnecessary waiting at rally site.

      2. Candidates are advised to take care of their documents/belongings against theft during rally.

      3. Mobiles, tabs and calculators are not permitted at the rally site.

      4. Candidate should preferably view the film on recruitment procedure at a rally site on You Tube (Join Indian Army, be a winner of life in Tamil) prior to reporting for rally.

      Cautions for all Candidates.

      1. Candidates are to be aware that on enrolment into the Indian Army, there will be certain implications and restrictions on the Fundamental Rights guaranteed to him by the Constitution of India as per provisions of the Army Act (1950) and Army Rule (1954). The candidate will also have to furnish an undertaking to the effect during enrolment.

         1. Army will not be responsible for any injury or death caused to candidate during recruitment rally. The candidate will participate at his own risk.

         2. Recruitment is a free service and candidates are cautioned against falling victim to unscrupulous elements/middlemen/agents/touts. Paying money to agents/touts is a crime. Candidates are advised not to waste time and money on such activity. No one can help except your hard work and merit.

         3. Biometric identification & hand writing analysis will be done at each stage. Imposters will be caught & handed over to Police.

            Use of any unfair means will make the candidate liable to disqualification at any stages of recruitment whenever found. He will be handed over to Police thereafter.

         1. Production of fake certificate and making of false declaration will lead to cancellation of candidature and criminal prosecution under the law.

         2. The candidates are liable to be screened for use of Physical performance enhancing drugs during recruitment rally. Candidates are liable to be disqualified for use of physical performance enhancing drugs during recruitment rally. Army will not be responsible for any mishap during the run/other physical test due to consumption of drugs.
