Medical Officer under ICMR funded project titled Hospital based sentinel surveillance for streptococcus pneumoniae and other invasive bacterial diseases (Project Code M21159).

Applications are invited for the post of Medical Officer in the Department of Pediatrics, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University under the ICMR funded project titled Hospital based sentinel surveillance for streptococcus pneumoniae and other invasive bacterial diseases (Project Code M21159). The details are as follows:

Post: Medical Officer One

Essential qualification: MBBS from MCI recognized Medical College having completed one year Rotating Internship

Registration with Medical Council of India or U.P.Medical Council

Desirable qualifications: 1. MD (Pediatrics)/DNB (Pediatrics)/ Experience of working in a Department of Pediatrics in a recognized Medical College/Multispeciality hospital

Nature of job: The duties of the Medical Officer will include collecting data of patients coming with pneumonia or suspected pneumonia, meningitis and sepsis. He/She would also be required to maintain records of the patients admitted and treated in the Department of Pediatrics and their care and followup.

Consolidated Salary: Rs. 65000/per month fixed. No HRA/NPA/any other allowance is admissible.

Other terms and conditions: The appointment will be made on the basis of criteria laid down by the funding agency (ICMR)

Age Limit: 35 years. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ Female candidates as per Government of India rules

The appointment on this post is purely temporary and will be initially for 6 months but can be renewed if performance is satisfactory as assessed by the Principal Investigator. THE APPOINTMENT IS COTERMINUS WITH THE PROJECT.

Walk in Interview

Desirous candidates who fulfil the Essential qualifications SHOULD APPEAR FOR WALK IN INTERVIEW ON: Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 4.00 pm in the office of the Head, Department of Pediatrics, IMS,BHU,Varanasi

along with an Application on plain paper giving personal details, address for correspondence and permanent address, Email id, Mobile number, academic qualifications, experience and list of publications (if any). It is mandatory to attach a recent passport size photograph and to enclose self attested copies of MBBS degree, other academic qualifications, High school certificate as proof of date of birth, and a copy of the Medical Registration certificate with the Medical Council of India or UP Medical Council. Incomplete applications or applications without relevant enclosures will not be entertained

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

If at any time during the course of this process or subsequently after appointment, it is discovered that the candidate has given wrong, incorrect or misleading information, his application will be rejected/appointment will be summarily terminated.

The selected candidate will not claim any benefits which are available to the permanent staff of the Banaras Hindu University. He/She will not have any claim for being permanently absorbed on a regular post should a vacancy arise in the future.
