INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ROPAR ADVERTISEMENT
Walk-in interview will be conducted at the Department of Physics, IIT Ropar on 13th Dec-2018, along with the candidates shorlisted in response to the regular advertisement dated 8 October 2018, for the Indian nationals to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
Title of the Research Project: Theoretical investigation of the multi-component condensates at zero and finite temperatures
Brief description of the project: The main objective of the the project is to study the multicomponent condensates, especially spinor and dipolar condensates, at finite temperatures using HFB formalism with Popov approximation and Stochastic coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equation, and will involve the developement of the numerical tools to acheive the objective.
Duration: 3 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics with at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale or 60% marks and having qualified either of the NET (CSIR/UGC) or GATE. Emoluments: As per DST rules. I & II year - Rs 25000/- p.m. + 10% HRA III year - Rs 28000/- p.m. + 10% HRA
General Terms and conditions:
- The position is temporary which will be renewed every year subject to the satisfactory performance. Candidate selected for this position may be considered for the regular PhD program provided he/she qualifies the eligibility criterion for PhD program at IIT Ropar.
- Original documents of mark sheets/degrees/certificates/age proof and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview.
- No TA/DA will be given to candidates attending the interview.
- Candidates should be present in the transit campus of the IIT Ropar from 9:30 a.m. onwards on the date of interview.
