Tata Institute of Social Sciences invites applications for a short term research study titled Mental Health Interventions for Women in India: A review of the landscape. The study is supported by Maharashtra State Womens Commission. Given the high number of women who face mental health issues in India and the dearth of effective and empowering responses for the same, it is imperative to map the existing best practices employed by some of the leading womens mental health organizations. This mapping will facilitate documentation of mental health issues faced by women in todays India, ways of conceptualizing the same and innovative practices employed to address the same.

Duration of the Study: 5 months

No of positions: 2 (3 full days a week) Qualification:

Masters Degree in Psychology (preferably clinical and counseling) from a recognized university. Candidates with prior research experience will be preferred.

Job responsibilities:

The primary tasks of the research assistant will be as follows -

Data collection Data entry Data analysis

Help in report writing and dissemination of research findings

The research assistant may be required to travel to various sites in Maharashtra for data collection.

Remuneration per month: Rs. 13000 per month
