Public Notice for recruitment of Assistant Engineer/Electrical cadre and Assis tant Engineer/Civil cadre in Haryana Power Utilities viz. HVPNL, HPGCL, UHBVNL & DHBVNL based on score of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2017

Haryana Power Utilities (HPUs) i.e. Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL), Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL), Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL) & Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVNL) are wholly Haryana Government owned companies responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in the State of Haryana. Haryana Power Utilities (HPUs) have decided to undertake recruitment of Assistant Engineer/Electrical cadre & Assistant Engineer/Civil cadre against the available vacant posts meant for direct recruitment as on 31.5.2017. The recruitment would be carried out purely on merit based on GATE-2017 scores. HPUs are in the process of finalizing the modalities with the nodal agency i.e. Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, who is conducting GATE-2017 .

Candidates interested in Joining HPUs as Assistant Engineer/Electrical & Assistant Engineer/Civil must appear for GATE-2017 examination, which is likely to be conducted by IIT, Roorkee in the month of February, 2017. The candidates are required to apply to IIT, Roorkee from 1.9.2016 to 4.10.2016 as per the information hosted on the website of IIT, Roorkee . Further details regarding GATE-2017 examination can be accessed from www.gate.iitr.ernet.in.

The recruitment of Assistant Engineer/ Electrical Cadre will be carried out in the disciplines of Electrical , Electronics, Mechanical and Information Technology. The utility wise bifurcation of the posts to be filled in each discipline of Electrical cadre as per requirement of HPUs will be notified by HPUs in the month of April, 2017.

  3. Procedure for Applying:-

    1. The desirous and eligible candidates having essential qualification for the posts to be advertised by HPUs are required to apply and appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 strictly for GATE paper & code mentioned above.

    2. The qualifying marks are likely to be declared by GATE-2017 Organizing Agency i.e. IIT, Roorkee in the month of March, 2017.

    3. Only GATE- 2017 score will be valid for recruitment in HPUs. Score of GATE-2016 or of any previous GATE Examination will not be valid for this recruitment.

    4. After the declaration of the result of GATE-2017, an advertisement indicating the complete

      details of terms, conditions, number of posts for recruitment, reservation & the guidelines for registration etc. likely to be published in the month of April, 2017 in various newspapers as well as HPUs websites (www.hvpn.gov.in, www.hpgcl.gov.in, www .uhbvn .com & www.dhbvn.org.in).

    5. Merely having essential qualification and qualifying the GATE-2017 does not entitles to the candidate(s) for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Engineer/Electrical cad re & Assistant Engineer/Civil cadre in HPUs. They have to apply as per the terms & conditions of the advertisement likely to be published by HPUs in April, 2017.

    6. Recruitment of Assistant Engineer/Electrical & Assistant Engineer/Civil in HPUs will be carried out only and purely on the basis of GATE-2017 score .

    7. No interview will be carried out for the posts to be advertised by HPUs in the month of April, 2017. Appointments will be made on the basis of merit of the GATE-2017

    The above schedule is published by the Organizing Institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, 2017 (GATE-2017) i.e. IIT, Roorkee and available at www.gate .iitr.e rnet.in.

  5. The various terms & conditions of Haryana Govt./HPUs including the following shall be applicable .

  1. Age Limit:

    Criteria for age limit will be as per latest instructions of Govt. of Haryana. Existing age limit is 21 to 42 years.

  2. Reservation:

    Reservation/ Relaxation/ Concessions , wherever applicable, are available to only Haryana domicile candidates . Reservation for various categories would be governed as per instructions of the Haryana Government.

  3. Eligibility of Students:

    Candidates who have completed essential qualification will only be eligible to apply. Candidates appearing in Final Year/ Semester are not eligible to apply.

  4. Details of actual posts for recruitment & Registration Process:

A separate notice/advertisement indicating the complete details of terms, conditions, number of posts for recruitment, reservation & the guidelines for registration likely to be published in the month of April, 2017 in various newspapers as well as on HPUs websites (www.hvpn.gov.in, www.hpgcl.gov .in, www.uhbvn.com & www.dhbvn.org.in ).
