RECRUITMENT OF CONSULTANTs ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS FOR NATIONAL MISSION ON EDUCATION THROUGH INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION (NMEICT).

National Mission on Education through Information & Communication Technology (NMEICT) is a Programme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to make affordable good quality Higher Education available to all young people in the country through ICT. There are a number of projects under NMEICT such as Development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and offering them through Cloud Based Platform (SWAYAM), Transmission of High Quality Education Channels through DTH (SWAYAM PRABHA), Extending NKN Connectivity to the students and faculty of Universities / Colleges, etc.

Applications are hereby invited from Competent Professionals for working on contractual positions in the various NMEICT Projects, initially for a period of one year, in the areas / verticals mentioned hereunder :

	(i) CONTENT	Essential: PG in Engineering or PhD in Humanities / Science / Economics. Desirable: PhD in Engineering / Management.	Essential: Minimum 20 years post-qualification experience in the field of TV Production OR Content Development of which at least 3 years should be in the Development of Educational Content. OR Minimum 5 years of experience as Associate Professor or above in reputed Institute. Desirable: Knowledge of Digital Video / TV Studio / Outdoor Based Recordings / Programme Editing / e-content Development / MOOCs / Web Development / ICT related Projects. Experience in Government / Education Sector preferred. Retired person may also apply. If retired from Government Service, should have worked in Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) for at least 5 years. Age: Max. 65 years. Starting Fee range (consolidated): Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 90,000/- per month depending on Selection Committees recommendation.

Should be knowledgeable in ICT. Experience in Government / Education Sector preferred. Retired person may also apply. If retired from Government Service, should have worked in Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) for at least 5 years in Ministry of Communication / IT / Railways or its PSUs or Statutory Bodies. Age : Max. 65 years. Starting Fee Range (consolidated): Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 90,000/- per month depending on Selection Committees recommendation.
2.	Consultant Post Code - 22
	(i) CONTENT	Essential: Graduate in Engineering or PG in Humanities / Science / Economics. Desirable: PG in Engineering / Management.	Experience: Minimum 8 years in : Development of e-contents OR Broadcasting OR Web Development projects OR Assistant Professor in a reputed Institute. Should be knowledgeable in ICT. Experience in Government / Education Sector preferred. Age : Max. 40 years. Starting Fee range (consolidated): Rs. 40,000/- to 60,000/- per month depending on Selection Committees recommendation.
	(ii) CONNECTIVITY	Essential: Graduate in Engineering - Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Computer. Desirable: PG in Electronics/ Communication/ Computer / Management .	Experience: Minimum 8 years in the area of Telecommunications / Computer Networking. Should be knowledgeable in ICT. Experience in Government / Education Sector preferred. Age : Max. 40 years. Starting Fee range (consolidated): Rs. 40,000/- to 60,000/- per month depending on Selection Committees recommendation.

	(i) CONNECTIVITY	Essential : Graduate in Engineering - Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Computer	Experience: Minimum 5 years in the area of Telecommunications / Computer Networking. Should be knowledgeable in ICT. Experience in Government / Education Sector preferred. Age limit: Max. 35 years Starting Fee range (consolidated): Rs. 25,000/- to 40,000/- per month depending on Selection Committees recommendation.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Only on-line applications will be accepted. For online application, please log on to www.edcil.co.in . Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application for each post.

2. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the above positions.

3. Candidates working in Government Organization / PSU must route their application through proper channel, if their department rules require so.

4. Engagement of Consultants will be on full working day basis and their place of work will be New Delhi

5. The prescribed qualification and experience should have been acquired on or before 01st January, 2017. Qualifications should be from approved recognized institutions.

6. The selection process will be based on academic qualifications and experience and will also include written test And / Or group discussion And / Or interview as may be decided depending on the total number of eligible applicants.

7. Documents in support of (i) Qualifications (ii) Experience & (iii) Age, etc have to be produced in originals as and when called for written test And / Or group discussion And / Or interview.

8. Age limit: As mentioned in the above table as on 01.01.2017 OR date of advertisement, whichever is earlier.

9. The experience and age will be counted as on 01.01.2017 OR date of advertisement, whichever is earlier.

10. In case of false or insufficient information/lack of proof to ascertain the eligibility of the applicant, their candidature will be summarily rejected at any stage of the selection process and action may be taken anytime as deemed fit.

11. Candidates are informed that mere submission of applications OR fulfilling of the eligibility criteria does not entitle them to be called for written test / interview / selection. Call letters and other information pertaining to this recruitment will be sent to shortlisted candidates by email Only. 13. The Employer reserves the right to upgrade the eligibility criteria, in case a large number of applications are received and also increase or decrease the number of posts, as per its discretion without assigning any reason thereof.

14. The above ranges of the consultancy fees mentioned on the table are on consolidated basis and are inclusive of all allowances, etc.

15. The appointment of consultant is purely on contractual basis initially for a period of one year. It may be extended for further period after reviewing the professional skills and overall performance of the individual.

16. In case for the post of Senior Consultant candidates will be reimbursed flight charges or 1st AC or II Tier AC or III Tier Ac Train or Chair car fare in any train including Rajdhani / Shatabadi express fare to and fro journey by the shortest route for appearing in the interview on production of proof viz. original ticket for inward journey photocopy of ticket for return journey. In case for the post of Consultant / Junior Consultant outstation candidates will be reimbursed II Tier AC train fare or III Tier Ac train or Chair Car in any train including Rajdhani / Shatabadi express fare to and fro journey by the shortest route for appearing in the interview on production of proof viz. original ticket for inward journey and photocopy of ticket for return journey. In the absence of proof, reimbursement of TA will be restricted to ordinary 2nd class train fare (mail train).

17. EdCIL, based on client feedback reserves the right to discontinue the contractual engagement with one months notice.

18. Consultancy Fees Range :

i)	Senior Consultant	Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 90,000/- per month
ii)	Consultant	Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 60,000/- per month
iii)	Junior Consultant	Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 40,000/- per month

19. The last date of receipt of application is within 20 days from the date of publication of the recruitment notice (advertisement).
