Walk-in Interview for the position of senior level research staff (till 31 October 2018)

Applications are invited for the post of senior level research staff under the Newton-Bhabha Project (HEPI/1516/10) funded by Royal Academy of Engineering, London, for following project.

Project Title and Tasks:

Distributed approach for integrated maintenance optimisation and production decision-making of parallel assets

Research tasks:

Develop a Load-dependent machine behaviour model;

Develop a production and maintenance optimisation model for individual assets to come up with sub-solutions which will be directed for the central coordinator. One essential element of this model is the definition of an appropriate objective function;

Improve on the current central coordinator objective function to incorporate new features;

So far the previous two tasks have been focused on single-component systems, and an extension can be made into multi-component scenarios;

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. (Completed/Thesis submitted/Advance stage of submission) in Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science Engineering

Desirable qualifications: Proficiency in manufacturing simulation platform, agent-based modelling, distributed decision-support system, integrated operations planning, expertise in smart manufacturing, knowledge of statistics, probability, simulation, optimization, industrial engineering Concepts.

Duration: Till 31 October, 2018

Expected Joining: Immediate

Stipend: Consolidated Rs. 50,000 per month
