Job Description (in maximum of 100 words)

An off-the-shelf or custom developed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) would be used to capture aerial images to create a number of dataset for different objects. The dataset would be used to train some object detection algorithms that would be used for tracking trough the UAV. The algorithms would be improved using some probabilistic approaches. The deliverables of the project are as follows -

Generation of video dataset of captured data using UAV

Implementation of algorithm for improving detection accuracies of object

Incorporation of detection in tracking algorithm

Implementation of probabilistic approach in improving accuracies of the algorithms

Preparation of documentation and reports.

PhD Enrolment

The institute rule does not allow registering a project scholar for Ph. D if the project has duration less than two years.

Essential Qualification

M. Tech or Equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Computer Science Engineering.

Desirable Qualification

Knowledge in image processing / computer vision / object recognition / UAV hardware or others with respect to the context of the project.

Fellowship

25000/- per month (consolidated)
