Candidates are invited to a walk-in interview for the appointment to the following posts as per schedule given below:

(1) 1. Medical Consultant (On Consolidated pay) 01 Post

(2) 2. General Duty Medical Officer (On Consolidated pay) 01 Post

Pay: Consolidated pay of 70,000/- pm for both posts.

Date of walk in interview:

For Medical Consultant - 27.06.2018 at 11.00 a.m

For General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) - 28.06.2018 at 11 a.m.

Qualification and Experience (a) Medical Consultant: Post Graduation Degree/diploma recognized by Medical Council Of India(MCI) in Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, ENT, Anesthesiology with working experience of minimum 01 year in a Govt. hospitals or large corporate or Public Sector Undertaking Hospital.

Age: Upper age limit 65 years as on the interview date

Qualification and Experience (b) GDMO: MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India(MCI) with minimum 03 years working experience (after mandatory internship) in a Govt. hospitals or large corporate or Public Sector Undertaking Hospital.

Age: Upper age limit 30 years as on the interview date

General Information:

1. Duty hours: Duties will be as allocated by the Institute Authority.

Selected candidates will have to visit the Institute at least 5 days a week [(minimum 25 hours per week for Medical Consultant and 40 hours in case of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO)]. However, when required GDMO may be asked to do night duty also.

2.In case of no suitable candidates are found in the respective position, IIT Guwahati reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of post in each case.

3. Candidates should have working knowledge in using computer systems for information processing and retrieval.

4. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

5. Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution.

6. The Institute reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof and also to re-advertise the posts if no suitable candidates are found. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard.

7. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.

8. Candidates will not have any claim for a regular appointment in the Institute on the strength of this temporary appointment.

9. Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
