Online Applications are invited for temporary post of Junior Research Fellow to be appointed in MPCST funded research project Studying the association of immunogenetics profile and gut microflora in Vitiligo sanctioned to Dr. Ashwin Kotnis, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry, AIIMS Bhopal in collaboration with Dr. Dinesh Asati, Associate Professor, Dept. of Dermatology, AIIMS Bhopal and Dr. Vineet Sharma, Associate Professor, Dept of Biological Sciences, IISER Bhopal.
Project description: Vitiligo is a common disorder, resulting in white patches on skin caused due to death of melanoctyes. Vitiligo has multifactorial etiology including oxidative stress and autoimmunity implicated in melanocyte death. This hospital based case-control study will analyse association between immune profile and gut microflora using molecular epidemiology, immunology techniques and metagenomics approach to study susceptibility to Vitiligo.

MSc. in Life sciences/ Biochemistry /Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ equivalent thereto with first division |

Desirable qualification and work experience |
Work experience in Molecular biology/ Metagenomics/Dermatology laboratory, handling of human blood and stool samples, bioinformatics analysis and high motivation for pursuing biochemical research. Demonstrated communication skills using English and Hindi language. |
