Advt No.5/2017 : Engineer D (CIVIL)

National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR) a premier research centre under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is looking for filling up of the following position:

1. ENGINEER 'D' ( CIVIL) - One (1) Post (Unreserved)

Qualification& Experience:

Essential :

1) ME/M.Tech/ Equivalent OR Ph.D in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.

2) Minimum Two (2) years experience in civil engineering construction and maintenance of buildings, roads, water management systems/ PH works including Contract Management.

Desirable Experience:

1) Experience in Civil construction and maintenance works including Quality Assurance & Control in an academic or Institutional campus.

2) Knowledge of AutoCAD and use of personal computers and its applications.

Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-3-Grade Pay:Rs. 6600/- TME: Rs. 73841/- ( Likely to be revised as per recomendations of VII CPC)

Age limit: - 35 years

The appointment for the post shall be initially on Contract basis for a period of one year which may be extended further based on the perfomance and Institute's requirements. The selected candidates shall be required to join immediately.The institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for consideration for recruitment. Selected candidates for the above posts will be governed by the New Pension Scheme applicable to the Central Government service [unless they are already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules 1972].

The posts are tenable at Bangalore but is liable to be transferred if the need arises to the Institutes headquarters at Mumbai or any other field Stations.
