Online Applications are invited for the post of Software Program Manager & Developer at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (A state university of Govt. of NCT of Delhi)

No. of post: 1 (one).

Level: Assistant Manager, or Junior Manager, or Deputy Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• B.E./B.Tech (or higher) with excellent academic & programming background.

• Experience in managing projects

• Experience of programming in modern programming languages (e. g. C++, C#, Java, Python, etc.), and in programming web systems (e.g. RoR/ Node.js / Django).

• For Assistant Manager, at least 5 years of work experience as developer, with at least two years as project/program manager.

• For Junior manager, experience of at least 3 years as a developer.

  Preference would be given to:

  • Candidates who are well -versed with modern web-based & mobile-based technologies.

  • Are familiar with use of modern tools like GitHub, Source Forge, CodeChef, etc.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Management and updating of software assets.

• Managing development of new software with help of students, interns, etc

• Handling issue trackers & software repository control systems.

• Enhancing/monitoring existing software.

• Commissioning new software systems in the Institute, and identifying systems that can be useful

Employment type: Full-time, Regular (initially on a five years Contract).

Compensation: Starting CTC will be approx 71K for Assistant Manager Level. CTC for Junior Manager is around Rs 62K. CTC includes DA as per Central Government rates, HRA/ Leased Accommodation, Travel allowances as per applicability, LTC, Telephone Reimbursement etc., which are generally same as in IITs. Deserving candidates may be given advance increments, or placed in a higher scale/designation (Deputy Manger)

The scale will be revised on implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. The person will also be entitled to a Professional Development fund every year.

Age Limit: 35 years for Assistant Manager Level & 30 years for Junior Manager.

General Information/Condition/Instructions:

1. The initial term of appointment will be for a period of 5 years which can be extended further subject to satisfactory performance & requirement.

2. Prescribed qualifications are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her to be called for test/interview.

4. The institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the candidates without assigning any reasons thereof.

5. The institute reserves the right not to recruit against above post. The no. of post may vary.

6. Qualifications/experience/ Age may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.

7. The candidates may be considered for higher/lower compensation depending upon their profile.

8. The selected candidates will be expected to join as early as possible from the offer of appointment.
