ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF REGISTRAR Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam (IIIT-K) an autonomous Institution set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, under IIIT (PPP) Act 2017 , invites online applications for the post of Registrar from Indian nationals possessing requisite academic qualifications and relevant experience. The details of the post are as under:-

Qualification

1. Masters degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a

& point scale wherever grading system is followed.

2. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant professor in the Academic

Experience

Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Acadmeic Leavel 12 and above including as Associate professor alongwith experience in educational administration

OR

3. Comparable experience in research establishment and /or other Institutions of higher education

OR

Upper Age 57 years as on closing date of receipt of application. Limit

General Information

  1. The above post is as per the Central Government pay scales and carry allowances like Dearness, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance as per Govt. of India rules.

  2. Candidates must have the requisite educational qualifications and experience on the last date of receipt of the application as declared in the advertisement / Institute Website. The experience will be counted from the date of acquiring of educational qualification.

  3. Relaxation in educational qualification and / or experience will be considered in exceptional cases.

  4. Applicants working in Govt. organization /Public sector undertaking/Govt. funded research agencies should forward their applications through proper channel .

  5. Candidates working in Govt. organization/ Semi. Government Organizations can submit the advance application along with applicable fees. However , their applications will be considered only when the hardcopy of the application is received through proper channel / alongwith No Objection Certificate, before the due date of submission of hard copy of application.

  6. Pay protection will be provided for eligible cases as per Govt. of India rules.

  7. Satisfying the prescribed essential qualifications/experience indicated will not entitle the applicants to be called for interview. If the number of applications received is large, the Institute shall have the right to shortlist the applications based on higher qualification and or experience in the Administrative areas / CFTIs and to call only those shortlisted candidates for the interview.

  8. The applicants should furnish details of all the qualifications and relevant experience along with self-attested photocopies of marks sheets /certificates. Qualification / Experience claimed without documentary proof will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

  9. No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained.

  10. Canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification for the post.

  11. Applications not in the prescribed format, incomplete in any respect and not supported by relevant certificates / documents / photograph / No Objection Certificate (if applicable) will be summarily rejected.

  12. The institute reserves the right to reject any or all the applications and cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason thereof.

  13. HOW TO APPLY:

Step-1: Register for creating User ID and Password for online application in Institute website. The online applications will be open from 00.01 hrs on 29 Jan 2018 and can be submitted till

23.59 Hrs on 19 Feb 2018.

Step-2: Fill the online application form complete in all respect and submit the same online. You can save before final submission to edit/review any field. No change is permissible after submission.

Step-3: After submission of form, payment gateway will open for payment of fee, as applicable . Follow the instructions carefully for payment of fee. Without payment of fee, application will not be accepted / considered.

Step-4: Take a print-out of the completed application form, attach the proof of payment and forward the same along with self-attested copies of certificates for educational qualification and experience, as claimed in the application and No Objection Certificate from parent department by Registered / Speed Post only in a sealed cover superscribing Application for the post of Registrar , IIIT Kottayam on or before 28 Februrary 2018 in the following address.
