WALK-IN INTERVIEW

Eligible candidates are invited to attend WALK-IN INTERVIEW on the following dates for various posts sanctioned under ICMR Multicentric National Task force project entitled Prevalence and Etiological study of hearing impairment under Department of ENT on the 4th of October 2017. The essential qualifications, experience, consolidated salary and service tenure are as under:

Sl. No.1 : Field Worker
Project Name and Project ID	:	ICMR Multicentric National Task Force Project Prevalence and Etiological study of Hearing Impairment (Eastern Region)
Project Duration	:	Project duration is 1 year. Initial appointment will be on contract basis for 3 months and based on performance extended for further 3 months.
Brief Description about the Project	:	Epidemiologic study of prevalence of hearing impairment in a Eastern Indian region.
Resource Requirement	:	One
Education	:	Minimum qualification is 10+2 (passed with >55% marks). Social Work Graduates with community experience will be preferred.
Essential Experience	:	Applicants should have 2 years experience in conducting field based surveys and community research projects.
Key Skills	:	Ability to conduct a field survey and record data in the preform as in English, Hindi and Odia.
Job Title	:	Field Worker
Location	:	AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha
Proposed Salary	:	Rs.17,800/- (Rupees Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred) only
Core Responsibilities	:	Perform community based survey and record the data.
Specific Activities	:	Door to door visit and interviewing of study respondents. Scheduling follow up visits. Follow up of respondents with hearing problems and referral to project team for further assessments.

Project Name and Project ID	:	ICMR Multicentric National Task Force Project Prevalence and Etiological study of Hearing Impairment (Eastern Region)
Project Duration	:	Project duration is 1 year. Initial appointment will be on contract basis for 3 months and based on performance extended for further 3 months. Following this each contract period will be for 6 months and renewed till completion of project.
Brief Description about the Project	:	Epidemiologic study of prevalence of hearing impairment in a Eastern Indian region.
Resource Requirement	:	One
Education	:	Masters Degree in Social Sciences / M.Phil. /Master of Public Health
Experience	:	Applicants with experience of minimum 3 - 5 years of field experience in urban/rural areas, experience in the area of disability /conducting field surveys will be preferred.
Key Skills	:	Study and assessment of community, Approaching key informants and rapport building, Social mapping, triangulation and transects.
Job Title	:	Social Worker
Location	:	AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, Odisha
Proposed Salary	:	Rs.30,997/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Seven) only
Core Responsibilities	:	Map the area, identifying households based on sampling strategy. Explaining the need, marking the households which has to be covered for the study. On the job guidance and supervising field work on day to day basis. Ensure the field edit of data.
Specific Activities	:	Approach and inform the ward/village authorities about the project. Explaining the plan of data collection to ward/village authorities. Coordinate the field work at the community level. Coordinate ENT clinic in the field. Counselling and motivating the respondents who need treatment. Field editing of data. Liaison with government health set up; ward authorities and NGOs. Health Education to various formal and informal groups.

1. These are tenure vacancies under funded project and are not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneswar pay roll. Employment will automatically terminate upon completion of the project and there is no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Bhubaneswar or Principal Investigator. Also the candidates have no right to claim permanent employment based on this job.

2. Selected candidates have to carry out extensive touring and collect data in field.

3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
