Salary & other benefits

Level: 12; Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 78,800; Starting CTC (p.a.): Rs. 11.38 l.p.a. (inclusive of current DA at Central Government rate & CPF @ 12% on Basic Pay & Dearness Allowance).

Other benefits such as Reimbursement @ 90% of Medical Expenses / ESIC (as applicable), LTC, Reimbursement of Childrens School Fees up to class XII, Gratuity, Pension under EPS 1995 (as applicable), Leave, will be admissible as per institute norms.

Qualification & Experience

Masters degree in Manufacturing / Production / Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years experience OR Bachelors degree in Manufacturing / Production / Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years experience. Experience criteria may be relaxed for exceptional candidates.

Prior experience in a mechanical engineering laboratory / workshop setting in an educational institute will be desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

Should have extensive operational knowledge of the various workshop equipment / machines.

Should be well versed with implementation of maintenance schedules for the various workshop equipment / machines.

Should have the ability to plan, direct & coordinate activities and

communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders. Should possess strong communication skills.

Should possess excellent planning, organization and analytical skills.

Should have strong computer skills.

Should exhibit good people skills with evidence of being able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.

Should have the ability to lead and guide a team of technical staff for timely completion of works.

Should be technically driven to maintain smooth operation of the workshop facilities and to handle any other responsibility, as and when decided by the management.

Job responsibility

Responsible for the day-to-day effective and efficient running of the workshop.

Budgeting and supervision of planning and purchase of materials, fixings, fastenings and machine tools to ensure smooth progression of projects.

Maintaining over-all control over the issuance and replenishment of spare parts and materials.

Ensuring implementation of preventive / corrective maintenance of workshop equipment / machines.

Maintaining highest standards of efficiency and safety by adopting safe & quality working practices and by ensuring safe work rules and practices are understood, implemented and consistently followed by concerned stakeholders.

Ensuring up-to-date maintenance of relevant records.
