NOTICE FOR EMPANELMENT

Sub: Appointment as Standing Counsel for Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), High Courts, Supreme Courts and other Judicial Fora.

The Legal Cell of AIIMS, New Delhi proposes to empanel of advocates as Standing Counsel for Supreme Court, High Courts, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), and other Judicial fora (such as Labour Courts, Consumer Court and District Courts). Eligible and desirous advocates having requisite qualification and experience may apply in the prescribed proforma.

Qualification & Experience

(i)Bachelor degree in Law from a recognized university and registration with any Bar Council in Delhi.

(ii) Professional experience of not less than 7 years in the Supreme Court/ High Court / Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT)/District Court/Other Courts.

(iii)Good communication skills and good knowledge of law and procedure.

Desirable Qualification

Experience in dealing with the cases related to Government Hospitals/Medical Colleges/Medical Research.

Mode of Selection

1. The mode of selection on the basis of interaction by selection committee constituted by AIIMS, New Delhi.

2. In case large number of applications are received, short-listing of applications will be done. The department reserves the right to decide the criteria for short-listing of application.

3. Candidates so short-listed will be called for interaction. Intimation will be sent to the candidates by post to the respective at the correspondence address or by email on the email address, as given in the application form or over the telephone number given by the applicant.

4. Candidates will have to produce all original documents at the time of the interaction.
   
   The department reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason. The application submitted will not bind this Institute to consider him/her for selection.
   
   Desirous and eligible advocates/ Counsel may send their application (separate application for each post) on the prescribed format superscribed Application for empanelment as Standing Counsel for AIIMS, New Delhi, addressed to the Senior Administrative Officer (Legal) Porta Cabin, 3rd Floor, Administrative Block, AIIMS, New Delhi, so as to reach this office within the restricted period. Application dispatched/ delivered in person after 15 days from the publication of advertisement will not be entertained. No TA/DA will be paid by this Institute for attending the interview/interaction.

   
   Candidates may see the terms and conditions of appointment and the fee/ remuneration payable to Advocate/Standing Counsels on the website of Ministry of Law & Justice, Govt. of India in O.M. No. 26 (1)/2014/Judl. Dated 01.10.2015 of Ministry of Law and Justice, Deptt. Of Legal Affair (Judicial Section), as amended from time to time.
