RECRUITMENT OF FACULTY (ON CONTRACT BASIS) IN IMU MUMBAI CAMPUS

IMU invites applications for the recruitment of Faculty on contract basis in the disciplines mentioned below. The appointments will be initially for a period of 6 months and extendable further, 6 months at a time, based upon need and good performance.

Note 1: The vacancies stated above are tentative and may be subject to change.

Note 2: Recruitment of Faculty in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering will be done through an Eligibility Test-cum-Personal Interview. Test will be of Multiple Choice Questions type.

Note 3: Candidates with a Ph.D in the relevant discipline [or with Extra First Class/ Extra Master (FG) Certificates of Competency obtained prior to 1.1.2014] are exempted from Eligibility Test.

Note 4: Candidates applying for the post of Faculty in Mathematics must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the CSIR or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET). Candidates having Ph.D are exempted from this requirement.

Age: Maximum 65 years.

Salary: Will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Advance increments in the ratio of 1:2 i.e. one increment for every 2 years of Sea Service at executive level subject to a maximum of 10 increments, will be given to deserving candidates in the disciplines of Nautical Science and Marine only.
