Recruitment of Director, IMU Kolkata Campus (on Direct Recruitment/Deputation Basis)

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University with headquarters in Chennai and with 5 Campuses in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and Cochin.

The Campus Director is a key functionary and is the Academic-cum-Administrative Head of a Campus. The post carries PB 4 Rs.37,400-67,000 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.10,000.

IMU invites applications from Mariners/Professors or Scientists G/Naval Officers/Officers from Major Ports or Public Sector Undertakings for the post of Campus Director for Kolkata Campus on Direct Recruitment/Deputation basis. The post is unreserved (UR).

Even though initially appointed to a particular Campus, the Campus Director shall be liable for transfer to any other Campus and to any equivalent post in IMU headquarters.

For Direct Recruits, the age of superannuation shall be 65 years. In the case of Deputationists, the age of superannuation in the relevant parent organisation will apply.

Age limit for Direct Recruitment: Not exceeding 60 years which is relaxable up to 2 years by the Vice Chancellor in deserving cases.

Age limit for Deputation: The candidate must be in a position to complete at least one full term of 3 years before his repatriation to his parent department/agency for superannuation.
