Recruitment of Research Associate, Traineeship and Studentship

Applications are invited for following temporary positions in the Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (sanction order no. BT/BI/12/045/2012; dated 23/02/2018).

  1. Research Associate (01 position) Eligibility: Ph.D. Degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/Life Science with sufficient experience in bioinformatics research with at least one research paper in reputed journal. Fellowship: Rs. 36,000 plus 10% HRA per month (fixed).

  2. Traineeship (01 position) Eligibility: Student holding Master Degree in Life Science/related subjects or MCA/M.Tech. in Computer science OR pursuing any of the above mentioned courses. Candidates having experience in bioinformatics tools and database shall be given preference. Fellowship: Rs. 8,000 (fixed).

  3. Studentship (01 position) Eligibility: Student holding Master Degree in Life Science/related subjects or MCA/M.Tech. in Computer science OR pursuing any of the above mentioned courses. Fellowship: Rs. 8,000 (fixed).

Duration: Appointment against the above mentioned positions is tenable up to 31st December 2018 which may be extended subject to sanction from the funding agency. If performance of the selected candidate is not found satisfactory, the appointment may be terminated on short notice. Other terms and conditions of appointment will be as per the DBT, Govt. of India and Rajiv Gandhi University guidelines.
