Applications are invited in the prescribed form from the eligible candidates for the following vacant post (sanctioned by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi) to be filled on regular basis in the Dr. Ambedkar Chair, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.

Note : (a) As far as possible, persons belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes or those belonging to other weaker sections of the society may be preferred.

(b) The Research Officer shall function under overall supervision of the Professor of the Chair.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

(i)

Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in Dr. Ambedkar Thought from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii)

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Research Officer.

(iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Desirable :-Preference will be given to those candidates who possesses Ph.D. degree as well as sufficient knowledge of research methodology alongwith research and teaching experience in Ambedkar Thought.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS, TERMS & CONDITIONS :

1. Candidates must read allthe instructions before filling the application form in a prescribed format of Application (to be downloaded by candidate) which is available on the University website www.nagpuruniversity.org. Candidates must ensure that no column is wrongly filled in Application form as the information furnished therein would be used for deciding the eligibility and suitability ofthe candidates for being called for the interview.Applications not filled in correctly,incomplete or as per the instructions are liable to be rejected and the onus ofsuch rejection would be on the candidatehimself/herself.
   
   
2. Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University wellin advance,without waiting for the last date,to avoid postal delay or any other unforeseen circumstances.The University willnot be held responsibleforanypostaldelayatanystage.
   
   
3. Copies ofthe certificates should be attached in support ofinformation given in the form where necessary and serialNo.ofenclosure attached should be indicated in the respective column given in the form.Any information contained in the attached certificates shallnot be considered unless it is claimed in the applicationform.
   
   
4. Prescribed qualifications for the post would be as per the norms/Regulations ofUGC and as approved by the Government ofMaharashtra.
   
   
5. A relaxation of5 % may be provided i.e.from 55% to 50% ofthe marks at the Masters degree levelfor the candidates belonging to SC/STcategory.
   
   
6. A relaxation of5 % ofmarks willbe provided i.e.from 55% to 50% ofthe marks to the Ph.D.degree holders,who have passed their Mastersdegreepriorto19thSeptember,1991.
   
   
7. The period oftime taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil.and/or Ph.D.Degree shallnot be considered as teaching/research experience.
   
   
8. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories specified by the stateGovernmentofMaharashtrashallbeconsidered.
   
   
9. Candidates should attach attested copies ofcaste validity certificate andnoncreamylayercertificate whereverisapplicable.
   
   
10. Candidates from reserved category who are domiciled outside the Maharashtra willbe treated as Open category candidates as per Maharashtra Govt.Circular No.CBS1290/23116/Pra.Kra378/ Mapak.5dated2481995.
    
    
    1. A crossed Demand Draft ofRs.500/for candidates under General (OPEN)category and Rs.300/for candidates ofBackward Class categories (whether the post is reserved for these categories or not) drawn in favour of Finance & Accounts Officer,
       
       
    2. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, payable at Nagpur (Maharashtra State), India, should be sent with the application towards registration fee (nonrefundable).The Demand Draftmustbeplaced/tagged at the top oftheapplication.
11. Canvassing in any form on behalfofany candidate willbe disqualified.
    
    
12. Applicant must write name ofthe post,his/her name and fulladdress and contact number on the back ofthe Demand Draft withoutfail.
    
    
13. Paste (do not staple/pin)a passport size colour photograph in the space provided on the right top portion ofthe application duly attestedbytheapplicantinatleasttwoapplicationforms.
    
    
14. Please obtain the endorsement ofyour Employer on the page enclosed in the application form (in case the applicant is in service).Thisismandatory.
    
    
15. AlldisputesaresubjecttoNagpur jurisdiction.
    
    
16. The University willnot be responsible for any postaldelay at any stageintherecruitmentprocess.
    
    
17. Experience and qualifications willbe reckoned as on the preceding day to the date ofemployment notification (not the date of publication ofthe employment notification).Good and readable photocopiesofallcertificatesmustbeattachedtotheapplication.
    
    
18. The right to fillor not to fillthe post or to modify/alter/cancelthe advertisementisreserved withtheUniversity.
    
    
19. No correspondence willbe made with applicants who are not shortlisted/notcalledforinterview.
    
    
20. Applicants shallnot be entitled for any reimbursement in terms ofTA/DAtowardsattendingtheinterview.
    
    
21. The University shallnot be held responsible for postponement or cancellation ofScheduled interview for any unforeseen/unavoidable reasons.
    
    
22. Applications which are received late,incomplete in any respect and not in the prescribed form willbe summarily rejected,and no communication inthisregard willbe made tothecandidates.
    
    
23. ApplicationsreceivedbyEmailandFaxshallnotbeentertained.
    
    
24. Selection willbe made on the basis ofcandidates previous record and their performance in the interview.The University may also utilize seminar/colloquium and/or any other mode as a method of selection.
    
    
25. Ifthe originalapplication through proper channelhas not been received by the University by the last date mentioned in the employment notification,the candidate/applicant willhave to submit NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATEobtained from his/her employer to the University at the time ofinterview,ifhe/she is called for interview, in the failure of which he/she shall not be entitledtoappearfortheinterview.
    
    
26. Prepare a set of application by filling prescribed application form either handwritten or neatly typed or computerized and enclose good copies (not originals)ofalltype ofcertificates/publications/preprints/reprints etc.,to the application in proofofallinformation (date ofbirth,qualifications,experience,publications,etc.) furnished in the Application.Write 'Enclosure Sr.No._____ ' (as mentioned/filled in the application)at the right top corner ofeach copyofthecertificate/documentenclosedtotheapplication.
    
    
27. Eleven copies ofthe application form alongwith attested true copies ofthe relevant enclosures to all the Eleven Copies shallbe submitted alongwith copies ofapplication form,failing which it willbe treated as rejected.Attested copies or reprints oftestimonials will not be returned.Originaldocuments willhave to be produced at the timeofinterview.
