APPOINTMENT NOTICE

SIKKIM UNIVERSITY invites applications from Indian citizens for the following non-teaching and teaching/academic posts on contract/temporary basis for its Centre for Endangered Languages (CEL) funded by the University Grants Commission. The posts are co-terminus with the project/Centre and the University shall have no liability towards the incumbents in the event of the UGC closing down the Centre or the project at any time.

Application Procedure: The candidates applying for the above mentioned posts need to download the prescribed format from the Sikkim University portal www.cus.ac.in

The application in the prescribed format along with the required self-attested documents with CENTRE FOR ENDANGERED LANGUAGES superscribed on the envelope may be submitted on the day of walk-in interaction:

General Instructions:

1. Applications received after the closing date or incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
   
   
   1. The University reserves the right to:
      
      
      1. Draw reserve panel(s) against the possible vacancies in the future.
         
         
      2. Relax any of the qualifications/experience at its discretion; and
         
         
      3. Not fill up any or all the advertised posts.
         
         
2. Persons already in service have to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
   
   
3. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of the candidate concerned.
   
   
4. Candidates merely appearing in Interview will not confer any right on the candidates for selection.
   
   
5. Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed format on or before 10 am, 5 October 2017.
   
   
6. Sikkim University reserves the right to extend the closing date for receipt of applications.
   
   
7. Sikkim University also reserved the right to withdraw this Advertisement.
   
   
8. Sikkim University reserves the right to relax any of the condition of the eligibility criteria of the post advertised.
   
   
9. No interim queries regarding selection will be entertained at any stage.
   
   
10. The period of service, emoluments, allowances, facilities & other benefits of the selected candidates will be in accordance with the instructions/norms issued by Central Government/UGC from time to time and adopted by the University.
    
    
11. No TA/DA will be admissible for walk-in interaction and/or joining.
