ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (RA) / SRF/ JRF FOR CSIR SPONSORED RESEARCH PROJECT AT CSED

Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate/SRF/JRF to work for CSIR Funded research project in Computer Science and Engineering Department, Thapar University, Patiala.

Project Details:

Title: SMART IRRIGATION AND FERTILIZATION SYSTEM FOR PRECISION AGRICULTURE USING INTERNET OF THINGS AND CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE

Duration : 3 years (up to the length of project)

Post	Qualification	Fellowship
One Research Associate	PhD completed or Submitted in area of Computer Science/Electronics/Usage of ICT in field of Agriculture Or ME/ MTech with three years of research, teaching and Design and Development Experience with good publications Desirable: SCI Publications	36,000/-
SRF	ME/M Tech in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent with Gate in CS or Electronics Desirable: Good Publications	14,000/-
JRF	BE/BTech in Computer Science or Electronics with minimum 55% marks and NET/Gate Exam Cleared. Desirable: Experience on IoT implementation	12,000/-

Skills Required:

1. Must have hands on experience in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Sensors, XBEE and other Communication Technologies like Bluetooth, GSM, Wi-Fi.

2. Must have strong MATLAB and Python scripting experience.

3. Must have already implemented IoT based projects.

4. An experience of development of Software / Mobile app is desirable.

5. Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning techniques.

6. Experience with data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of data is preferred.

Desirables

1. Dedication and Commitment to work for the project including some field work.

2. Excellent analytical, presentation and Research article writing skills.

3. Strategic thinking and execution in a fast-paced environment.

4. Should exhibit creativity and resourcefulness.

5. Organized and detail oriented.

6. Having good publications in Scopus/SCI.
