IIT Jammu invites online applications from qualified Indian Nationals for filling up following posts: -

Prescribed Minimum Qualification / Experience:

1. Owners Architect

The progress of works at IIT Jammu transit campus is being monitored by Internal Works Department (IWD) IIT Jammu in close coordination with CPWD, Architects/ system designers, Contractor engineers and supervisors. The planning for IIT Jammu main campus shall start with the preparation of Master Plan and would include schemes, designs and drawings of proposed structures and services.

During the planning stage there is a need to study and identify the requirements for academics, faculty offices, classrooms, labs, student and staff accommodation, guest house, other services for Electricity, LAN, Telecom, Fire safety, security surveillance etc. so that the main campus is functional, safe, sustainable, and state-of-the-art in terms of technology.

To handle all the above listed activities there is a need of owners architects. Induction of owners architect would help the IWD in smooth planning and development of the above listed activities and would develop a better coordination with master plan architect.

Remuneration: On retainer basis for around Rs.1.0 to Rs.1.25 lacs per month for around 06 days per month. In addition, she/he should be available for professional advice online as required by the Institute.

Qualification:-Candidates must have masters in Architecture with minimum of 10 years of experience and practical hands on knowledge of the relevant software that are used in architectural practice (AUTOCAD, Revit, Corel Draw, Chief Architect Professorial Home Design Software, Auto-desk quantity take off and estimation, etc.).

Key responsibilities: Owners Architect will be expected to visit the IIT Jammu campus for a minimum 3 days at a stretch once every 15 days or as and when required and will be supervising the planning, designing and construction of IIT Jammu campus. He/she shall be expected to evaluate the plan/proposal and express his opinion to the institute representative and will convey the same to the Institute architect after the approval from the institute. The owner's architect will be interacting with PMC and work towards efficient project management and execution and QC issues. Overall, she/he would be expected to work closely with IWD, PMC and Institute architect towards developing a functional, safe, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing campus.

2. Sr. Account Officer (Internal Audit and Accounts)

IIT Jammu invites online applications from Accounts Officers having experience in the domain of Audit & Accounts works at various levels for appointment on contract basis.

Remuneration: Consolidated salary in the range of Rs. 40,000/-to 50,000/-per month.

Qualification: Candidates must be an Economics graduate with First class and diploma/degree in Accounts/Finance with minimum 15 years of experience in accounts department of a Central Govt. organization. Experience at IIT in accounts department will be preferred. Computer literacy in office tools is essential.

Work experience: Officers of Indian Accounts and Audit Department and other Government of India, Autonomous bodies holding post of Sr. Audit Officers/ Accounts Officers/ AAOs with experience of handling the finance, Internal audit and administrative matters in organized audit & accounts department. GOI, Higher Technical Education Institutions.

Key responsibilities: Account Officer (on contract) shall be responsible for processing of all staff and faculty claims, budget, institution payments towards purchase orders issued for equipment and services. He shall carry out internal Checks & Audit of all claims and institute payments to all its vendors. He shall supervise the existing staff of accounts section and shall work under Registrar, IIT Jammu.

3. Junior Superintendent (Purchase)

IIT Jammu invites online applications from experienced purchase officers who have dealt with Central Govt. purchase in a large organization like IIT for appointment on contract basis.

Remuneration: Consolidated salary in the range of Rs. 45,000/-to 50,000/-per month.

Mode of Selection: Release of advertisement through online applications.

Qualification: Candidates must be a graduate with First class having Economics background and diploma/degree in Purchase/Logistics with minimum 15 years of experience in purchase department/section of a Central Govt. organization. Experience at IIT in purchase department will be preferred. Computer literacy in office tools is essential.

Key responsibilities: Junior Superintendent (Purchase) shall be responsible for placing a number of purchase orders (PO) for equipment purchase and services through CPP, GeM, local purchase of small items for hostels, guest rooms and institute. He shall work out proposals, tenders, processing of tenders through TNC, PFC, etc. and coordinate from sanction to floating tenders for evaluation and placing purchase orders. He shall lead the purchase section and shall work under Registrar, IIT Jammu.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for the relevant post.

  2. Good knowledge of Computer applications (on emails, word processing, spreadsheet, presentations software etc. and OS like MS-Windows, LINUX etc.) is a must.

  3. All above posts are initially on contract basis for a period of one year, which may be extended annually up to three years based on the performance.

  4. Shortlisted candidates shall be called for Trade Test/Interaction evaluation. Mere qualifications may not ensure shortlisting and Institute may apply higher than minimum cut off criteria to ensure reasonable number of candidates.
