Recruitment for Junior Research Fellow under DST Project

There is a vacancy for JRF to work under the supervision of Dr. Supriya Ray, Assistant Professor at CBCS, in a project titled Influence of Attention on Control of Eye Movement and funded by Department of Science & Technology (Govt. of India). The position is purely temporary for one year, which may be extended depending on the availability of fund. The recruitment of JRF will be done as per OM No. SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014 of the funding agency.

Positions: Junior Research Fellow (1) Salary: Rs.25000/-p.m. + HRA

Qualifications: (A) Masters in Science (in related discipline, e.g., Cognitive Science/ Physics/ Mathematics/Neuroscience) with NET qualification. (B) Bachelors in Engineering/Technology with GATE qualification. (C) Masters in Engineering/Technology.

Candidate with proven experience on conducting electrophysiological experiments in the laboratory, and good understanding of signal processing will be given preference. The project requires extensive computer programming. In depth knowledge of a programming language (e.g. C/C++/Matlab) and statistics is expected. Fluency in English is plus.
