Desirable:

Communication skills: Proficient in both written and oral communication in English and Hindi. Broad technical capabilities preferred (electronics, fabrication machinery, mechanics,

coding, digital design, CNC, Equipment selection and sizing etc) Experience in Operation and maintenance of light/ heavy equipment/ machineries Project Management in an innovation/creativity setting Problem solving, critical thinking, Leadership Ability to work with designers and architects. Ability to support and realize innovative and creative projects and functions Ability to fabricate devises, installations and tools as prototypes as technical solutions

to problems. Communication and presentation skills a plus Procurement project experience a plus Experience in Field devices, sensor and manufacturing process control is must.

Experience in machine maintenance, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting is

compulsory Exposure to government procurement and office operation procedures is must. Experience in DPR, RFP and approval process in government is mandatory. Any certification (from Government organisation) on Internet of things/ Multimedia

will be an added advantage. An understanding of commercialization, entrepreneurship and investment a plus

Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as a primary point of contact for persons entering the lab

Shop-floor responsibilities as per schedule.

Ensuring the safety of everyone in the lab.

Support the labs communication and outreach effort.

Conduct primary induction and training to new lab users.

Managing equipment in a manner that maximizes utilization and useful life while

limiting breakdowns to minimum.

Line management for Techies or Incubatees.

Delivering on the job and structured training to techies

On planning and suitable deployment of lab resources

Ensure timely preparation of technical and operational reports as directed by the CEO.

Integrate into FABLAB communities, building relations with makers, suppliers,

innovators, Other incubation centres and users in general.

Manage controlled access and security systems.

Pursue Fab Academy training and continuous personal development towards

becoming a Fab Lab Guru.

Support the upcoming maker spaces/fab lab network/association

Managing inventory

Pricing services as per the relevant system.

Providing technical and enabling support to lab users, Techies, and Interns

Drafting SOPs for the lab.

Prepare annual lab floor budgets and infrastructure development plans

Implement the R&D plan, leading resource allocation and related activities, and

preparing technical reports of research outcomes

Support and implement the continued development component related to the facility

itself, identifying opportunities for using internal resources and knowhow to

continually improve and refresh the infrastructure and user experience at the fab lab

Develop the labs inventory of materials and supplies including materials kept under

consignment and materials ready for rapid delivery by suppliers

Lead the controlled access and security systems

Coordinate the distribution of all personnel over the weekly personnel timetable

Curate the knowledge repository

Technical training and expertise is a plus
