UGC-HRDC, University of Calcutta is going to organize a UGC sponsored workshop for M. Phil/ Ph. D. Scholars on Information Technology (IT) during 12-14 March, 2018 in the Department of Library and Information Science of the University of Calcutta. The workshop is expected to include discussions on Open Education Resources (OER), Copyright, Research Ethics, Citation and Referencing, Scientific Publication, etc. by eminent resource persons. Enrolled/ Registered M. Phil/ Ph. D. research scholars of all disciplines of the University of Calcutta are welcomed to register their names along with their respective affiliation and contact details, using the attached proforma. The filled in Registration Form has to be forwarded by the concerned Supervisor/ Head of the Department (with Signature and Office Seal) and submitted to the Office of the Director, UGC-HRDC, University of Calcutta (Tel. 033-23519754), on or before 05 March 2018 positively. There shall be no registration fee for attending the workshop. Since the number of seats is limited, only 40, the principle of first-cum-first-served will be adopted for selecting the participants. However, the authority reserves the right to select the candidates considering representation of the different disciplines.
