NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer on contract basis in the Department of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology on a consolidated remuneration of Rs.30,000/- per month.

The candidate should be below 40 years of age as on 01.11.2017(Relaxable as per rules in case of OBC/SC/ST)and have a,

i)M.Sc. Degree in Nanoscience / Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Technology, Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science or M.Tech Degree in Nanoscience / Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Technology with Physical Science background at the Masters' level of this University or the above Degrees from any other University recognised by this University, with not less than 55% marks subject to the rules of relaxation for SC/ST candidates ( or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

ii) Ph.D Degree in Nanoscience / Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience and Technology of this University or from any other University recognised by this University.

OR

Ph.D degree in Physics/Chemistry/Optoelectronics/ Materials Science/Polymer Chemistry in the area of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of this University or from any other University recognised by this University.

iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test ( NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

iv) Not withstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) for Assistant Professor candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission ( Minimum standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the Requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.

v) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Programme in the disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

In the absence of candidates with the above qualifications,

candidates with M.Tech in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology or MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science with

NET and those who have submitted Ph.D thesis in any of the above subjects will

also be considered.

Candidates should forward their applications in white paper along with attested copies of all documents to prove age, qualification, experience etc, to the Registrar, University of Kerala. Candidates, if required, should appear for an interview at Thiruvananthapuram at their own expense. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. Last date for receipt of application shall be on or before 13.12.2017.
