ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF JRF

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for successful completion of a National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), (Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India) funded research project. Interested candidates are requested to apply for the above mentioned position.

Project Title : Wavelet Methods for Nonlinear fractional Partial Differential Equations with Engineering Applications

Duration of the project : 3 years

Age limit : Applicants must not be more than 28 years as on the last date of application.

No of post : 01

Fellowship amount : JRF@ Rs.25,000/-per month for first two years. Based on the performance, the position may be extended to one more year with the emoluments SRF@ Rs.28,000/-per month. No other allowances will be paid from project grant/Institute.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in mathematics through JAM or equivalent degree (at least 60% marks) with NET/GATE qualification. Candidates with interests in the area of applied mathematics with strong background in numerical computation for solving ODE, PDEs will be preferred.

The intimation letter for the written test and/or interview will be sent via email to the eligible candidates by the Principal Investigator. Candidates should bring all the original copies of the relevant documents (mark sheet and certificate of the major examinations passed) at the time of interview at NIT Jamshedpur. The selected JRF will be allowed to join the Ph.D. program of NIT Jamshedpur, as per Institute norm.
