    Note : i. Educational / Technical Qualifications should be from a recognized University / Board of Technical Education of Central or State Government.

    ii. Hearing Handicapped (HH) means loss of 60 decibels or more in the better ear in conversational range of frequencies.

    IMPORTANT:


    1. In case Universities award letter grades / CGPA / OGPA, the same will have to be indicated as equivalent percentage of marks as per the norms adopted by that University. In the absence of the same, the candidature will not be considered for the interview.


    2. Candidate shall insure that they fill in the correct information. Candidate furnishing false information / hiding / suppression of information will disqualify their candidature. RRCAT, Indore further reserves the right to reject the candidature of any applicant at any stage.


    3. Recruitment rule for Category-I & Category-II prescribes the eligibility criteria in terms of minimum qualification & percentage of marks. However, if the candidates with higher qualifications opt for selection to the post prescribed for lower qualification, they will not be denied in principle the opportunity of their recruitment. Such candidates who are already overqualified or likely to complete the process of acquiring higher qualification after their recruitment with not less than 60% marks will not be considered for the purpose of Additional Qualification based promotion for the specified period while in service as follows:

      1. B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering - 6 Years

      2. B.Tech./AMIE/M.Sc. - 8 Years

      3. M.Tech./Ph.D. - 10 Years


    AGE LIMIT :


    1. Category-I: 19 years (minimum) and 24 years (maximum) as on 31.05.2017

      The upper age prescribed above is relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years if candidate belongs to SC/ST category and 3 years if candidate belongs to OBC category.

    2. Category-II: 18 years (minimum) and 22 years (maximum) as on 31.05.2017

      The upper age prescribed above is relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years if candidate belongs to SC/ST category.


      In addition to the above, the following age relaxation are also applicable:


      1. For persons with disabilities (Applicable for Post Code II-4) : Up to a maximum of 10 years.


      2. Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government orders.

      3. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 05 years shall be admissible to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules.


        Certificate regarding proof of residence -


        Any person intending to avail of this relaxation of age limit admissible under Central Civil Services and Civil Posts (Upper Age Limit for Direct Recruitment) Rules, 1998, shall submit a certificate from:


        1. The District Magistrate in the Kashmir division within whose jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided;

          OR

        2. Any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

      4. Relaxation to Ex-servicemen, departmental candidates (central government civilian employees), family members of those who died in 1984 riots will be as per extant Government orders.


    NOTE : Only date of birth indicated in Matriculation Certificate / Municipal Birth Certificate will be accepted.

    No subsequent request for change shall be granted.

  2. Total duration of Training : Two years

    Stipend during Training :

    For Category I : Rs.9,300/- per month for 1st year

    Rs.10,500/- per month for 2ndyear

    For Category II : Rs. 6,200/- per month for 1st year

    Rs. 7,200-/ per month for 2ndyear

    In addition to above Category I & II Trainees will be entitled for one time book allowance of ` 1,500/- for purchase of approved books pertaining to their training course.


  3. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility conditions mentioned in advertisement. The candidate would be admitted to various stages of the recruitment process based on the information furnished by the candidate in his/her application. Only a summary scrutiny of the application would be made before the final stage of the recruitment process and detailed scrutiny of the eligibility of the candidate would be done only at the final stage of the recruitment process. As such, the candidature of the applicant shall remain provisional till detailed scrutiny is undertaken and the candidate is found eligible in all respect. RRCAT would be at liberty to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process if the candidate is found ineligible for the post. The decision of RRCAT shall be final in deciding the eligibility of the candidate. The mere fact that a call letter has been issued to the candidate and allowed to appear in a written test/interview will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared or that entries made by the candidate in his/her application have been accepted as true and correct.


  4. SELECTION PROCEDURE :

    For Stipendiary Trainee (CategoryI) :

    Written examination will be conducted and will comprise of objective (multiple) type questions. There will be negative marking for the written examination for incorrect answers. Candidates should come prepared to stay in Indore for the written test/interview for minimum two days. No accommodation will be provided for these two days to the candidates coming for written examination/interview. The syllabus for the written examination will be based on subjects at Diploma/B.Sc. level, as the case may be. Candidates qualifying in the written examination shall be short-listed for interview to be held on the same or following day.


    Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of the performance of the candidates in interview. No weightage will be given for marks scored in the written examination. The decision of RRCAT in this regard will be final.

    For Stipendiary Trainee (CategoryII) :

    The selection process will consist of test in 3 stages. (Stage 1 & 2 Written Test and Stage 3 Trade/Skill Test). There will be negative marking for the written examination for incorrect answers.


    Stage1- Preliminary Test : Questions will be on Mathematics and Science at SSC level and General Awareness.

    Stage 2- Advanced Test : Candidates clearing Stage 1 - Preliminary Test will be eligible for Stage 2 - Advanced Test (Questions will be from the respective trades).

    Stage 3- Trade/Skill Test : Only for those candidates who have cleared Stage-2 test and will be onGo/No-Go basis.

    The candidates will be given choice to answer the questions in written exam/trade test in Hindi or English.

  5. SCOPE OF TRAINING :

    Selected candidates will be imparted training at RRCAT, Indore in various aspects of relevant Trades / Disciplines as per prescribed syllabus of each Trade / Discipline for meeting the stringent requirements of the Centre. The candidates will not have choice / option for any particular training programme/ training place / final placement. The candidates may be required to work in round-the-clock shifts, including night shift, during the period of training.

  6. EXECUTION OF BOND :

    Selected candidates will have to execute a bond to complete the training and serve RRCAT, Indore or any of the Constituent Units of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), if offered appointment after the training,

    for a period of 3 years after absorption. A trainee who fails to complete the training or serve the Government for 3 years, if offered appointment will be liable to pay to the Government a sum equivalent to entire aggregate amount of stipend received by him/her during the period of training along with interest thereon as per Government Rules.


  7. ABSORPTION AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING :


    1. Upon successful completion of training, the Stipendiary Trainees (Category-I) will be considered for absorption as Scientific Assistant/C depending on their performance during the period of training and interview to be held at the end of the training.

    13. Candidates working under the Central/State Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies etc. are required to submit NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer while appearing for interview for Category-I and skill/trade test for Category-II, failing which they will not be permitted to appear in interview/skill/trade test.

  10. REQUIREMENT OF DISABILITY CERTIFICATE

    1. Definition of disabilities will be as mentioned in DoPT OM No. 36035/3/2004-Estt(Res) dated 29.12.2005

    2. Minimum degree / percentage of disability for reservation : 40%.

    3. According to the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Rules, 1996 notified on 31/12/1996 by the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of Section 73 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 (1 of 1996), a disability certificate shall be issued by a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or a State Government. The Central/State Government may constitute a Medical Board consisting of at least three members, out of which, at least, one member shall be a specialist from the relevant field.

    4. The certificate would be valid for a period of 5 years for those whose disability is temporary. The Medical Board shall indicate the period of validity of the certificate where there are chances of variation in the degree of disability. For those who acquired permanent disability, the validity can be shown as permanent. On representation by the applicant, the Medical Board may review its decision having regard to all the facts and circumstances of the case and pass such orders in the matter as it thinks fit.

    5. Those SC/ST/OBC persons with disabilities selected on their own merit without relaxed standards along with other candidates, will be considered against unreserved vacancies provided the post is identified for the persons with disability of relevant category.

  11. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :

  1. The vacancies shown above are provisional and subject to variation. The filling up of vacancies indicated in the advertisement is also subject to the approval of Competent Authority and may not be filled up if decided otherwise in terms of the orders issued by Government from time to time.

  2. The validity of operation of wait-list will be one year from the date of preparation of the Select Panel or the date of next advertisement, whichever is earlier.

  3. The nature of duties to be performed by the above categories of employees will involve working in round-the-clock shift duties (including night shift), in operational plants and areas.

  4. The eligibility criteria including period of experience as prescribed in the advertisement will be determined with reference to the last date of receipt of applications.

  5. SC/ST outstation candidates called for written test/interview/skill/trade test will be paid Travelling Allowance (TA) of second-class Railway fare by the shortest route (subject to production a copy of tickets) as per rules. However, Travelling Allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in service in Central/State Government services, Central/State Government Corporation, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and Panchayats and / or availing the concession from Railways, if any, for undertaking journey for attending written examination / interview. TA reimbursement will be subject to production of self attested copy of SC/ST Caste Certificate and Paper Tickets.

  6. RRCAT, Indore reserves the right to fill up the post or even to cancel / restrict / modify / alter the whole process of recruitment without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.

  7. Candidates selected against this advertisement will be trained at RRCAT, Indore. Upon successful completion of training, they are likely to be posted at RRCAT, Indore but are liable to serve in any part of India and in any constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy.

  8. Candidates who have not acquired / will not acquire the required educational qualification as on CLOSING DATE of receipt of application (31.05.2017) will not be eligible and need not apply.

  9. The applicants would be admitted to the examination on the basis of information furnished by them in their application form and verification of the documents produced by them. They are therefore advised to ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions before applying.
