Recruitment for Faculty Positions on Contractual basis at IISER TIRUPATI

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati, is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications for the following Faculty positions in the Departments of Biology from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic record and relevant work experience, who would like to be associated with the academic and research activities of the Institute purely on contractual basis:

The details of qualification and experience is as under:

Name of the post	Faculty Position
Minimum Qualifications	A Ph.D in appropriate field with first class or equivalent in an appropriate branch with a very good academic recird throughout and atleast three years of teaching/industrial/research experience, excluding however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. High quality publications in journals of International repute are essential.
Subjects	Evolutionary Biology/Developmental Biology/Structural Biology
Emoluments	Consolidated Emoluments to be decided by the Selection Committee based on the academic and track record of the research of the candidate.
Tenure	The position is temporary for one year and renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
Last date	5.00 PM on 15th June, 2017

General Information / details about the post:

1) Appointment is purely temporary.

2) The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in IISER Tirupati.

3) The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.

4) The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for selection process to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.

5) Relaxation in educational qualifications and/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates with prior approval of the Competent Authority.

6) No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.

7) Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political, or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
