Two (02) PWD vacancies (One OH & one VH) are reserved for KAPS 1&2 and One (01) PWD vacancy (VH) is reserved for KAPP 3&4.

The vacancies advertised are provisional and may vary as per requirements. In case, the vacancy position indicated in the Advertisement is reduced to any number or even to nil, Corporation is not liable to compensate the applicant for any consequential damage/loss.

The selected candidates will be required to undergo 1 year training in any of the Nuclear Training Centres of NPCIL.

(iii) Those trainees who complete one and half year training successfully, will be appointed as Scientific Assistant/B subject to suitability for absorption. Initial posting will be at Kakrapar Gujarat Site, however, the candidates are liable to be transferred to any of the establishment of NPCIL/Units.

Note : -Necessary assistance for access & seating will be provided to Divyang (PWD) candidates at the Written exam centre.

2. Educational Qualification for the Posts :-

(i) Stipendiary Trainees/ Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category-I) -Diploma in Engineering Diploma in Engineering with not less than 60% marks in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Diploma in Engineering should be of three years duration after SSC/HSC. Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. Candidates who have pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible. Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
(ii) Stipendiary Trainees / Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category-I) B.Sc. B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc. shall be with Physics as principal and Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Chemistry as principal and Physics/Mathematics/ Statistics/Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage. Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential. Candidates having Mathematics as the principal subject at B.Sc. are not eligible. Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.

Note

(i)
Candidates must have already passed the qualifying examination as on the last date of submission of application. Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination but whose results are not declared by the crucial last date for submitting the application, are not eligible.
(ii)
Qualification should be full time regular course.

(iii) Only the above mentioned disciplines will be considered. Courses/Disciplines with equivalence to the above will not be considered.

4. Relaxation in Maximum age limit :-

In addition to the maximum age limit as prescribed against each post at Sl.No.1 above, the following age relaxation would be applicable for the respective categories wherever applicable.

Note 1. Additional relaxation in prescribed age limit commensurate with experience of working with NPCIL on Contract/Fixed Term Basis, subject to a maximum of 5 years will be given.
2 Upper age limit as prescribed in the advertisement shall not be applicable to employees already serving in NPCIL.
3 In case applicant is eligible for age relaxation in more than one category, the age relaxation will be cumulative subject to condition that maximum age of the applicant on the last date of submission of application shall not exceed 56 years

Absorption after training: On successful completion of training, the Stipendiary Trainees (Category-I) are likely to be considered for appointment to the post of Scientific Assistant/B in the pay of `35400/in level 6 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. However, Trainees who score less than the prescribed marks for absorption will not be absorbed and will be discharged from training. Absorption of the trainees is further subject to the Companys requirement of manpower, availability of vacancies, suitability of trainees for absorption as per the assessment of the management for absorption. Those appointed as SA/B will be on probation for a period of one year and shall be confirmed in the post on successful completion of the probationary period. Additional increment/s, as per extant rules, depending upon performance during training program may also be granted. Plus other allowances like Central Dearness Allowance, Children Education Assistance, Canteen Subsidy, Site Allowance, Cable TV reimbursement, News Paper Reimbursement, Medical Assistance, Site Conveyance Allowance, Washing Allowance, Accommodation, School facility etc. as admissible from time to time as per Corporation Rules.

8. Selection Process

a) Written Examination Online at 5 (five) cities viz. Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta, New Delhi and Surat tentatively in January, 2018. Exact date, time and venue of the written examination will be available in the Admit Card. Admit card of the screened in candidate for appearing for written examination will be made available in the website for downloading. Email/SMS will also be sent to screened in candidates.

followed by candidates scoring higher in Section B. In case tie still persists, the candidates older in age shall get preference.

f) Candidates qualifying in the written test shall be shortlisted in the order of merit in the ratio of 1 post : 6 candidates (where the qualifying no. of candidates are more than 6) for appearing in the personal interview which will be conducted at Surat tentatively in January, 2018. Exact date, time and venue of the interview will be available in the Interview Call letter. Call letter for appearing for interview will be made available in the website for downloading. Email/SMS will also be sent to shortlisted candidates.

g) Before appearing for the interview, the candidates will be required to undergo physical standards check-up (where ever applicable) and verification of all the original marksheets, caste certificates etc. tentatively one day prior to the date of interview at Surat. Exact date, time and venue will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates through Email/SMS.

h) Final select list will be made after giving weightage of 50% marks obtained in the written test and 50% on the basis of performance in the personal interview.

9. How to Apply:

(i)
A candidate has to apply through online application form provided on the website www.npcilcareers.co.in only.
(ii)
The online application form will be available on the website (www.npcilcareers.co.in) from 01/11/2017 at 1000 hrs and will close on 25/11/2017 at 1600 hrs.

(iii) It is mandatory to input all the relevant information (such as qualifying degree details, duration, percentage of marks, contact mobile number, e-mail address etc.) to complete the registration and get the Registration number. Candidates are therefore advised to keep such information ready before applying online.

(iv)
Before applying online candidate should scan his / her photograph in JPG format, of size not more than 50KB and a minimum of 125 x 165 pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions and signature in JPG format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions. The photograph uploaded will be printed on the Admit card/interview call letter and only the candidate whose photograph is printed on the Admit Card/Call letter will be allowed to appear for written examination/interview, if called for.
(v)

Candidates are requested to make a note of the login id and password, as she/he will need this login to the website to check her/his application status. An email will also be sent to the candidate with the application number.
Instructions to applicants for filling Online Application Form
  1. Application will be accepted ONLINE only. Applications submitted in any other form including handwritten/typewritten applications in hard format delivered in person or by other means shall not be entertained. No Certificates/marksheets etc. are required to be submitted alongwith Online application form. No documents/application forms etc. are to be sent to NPCIL before interview.

  2. The cut off date for reckoning Maximum Age Limit, qualification would be last date of filling online application i.e. 25/11/2017. The cut off date for determining all eligibility criteria i.e. 25/11/2017 remain same even if the last date for submission of online application is extended for administrative / technical reasons.

  3. Exact percentage of marks should be mentioned in percentage of marks column. e.g. 59.9% should NOT be rounded off to 60%.

  4. In case of candidates from Schools/Colleges/Institutions/Boards where scores in grade point average like CGPA/SGPA etc. are followed, they should produce a certificate from respective school/college/institution, conveying the equivalent percentages for the respective CGPA/SGPA scores etc. duly signed by Head of the school/college/institution at the time of interview.

  5. Before submitting the online application form, the candidate must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria with respect to age, educational qualifications as published in the advertisement. Initial screening is primarily based on the information provided in the online application form. It is, therefore, strongly advised that all the details should be carefully and correctly entered in online application form. Candidates should ensure that they have pursued English as a subject in SSC/HSC level and should submit copies of certificate/marksheet issued by Board/University in support thereof at the time of interview.

  6. If at any stage of this recruitment process including after recruitment or joining, if any of the following is detected, the said applicant will be liable to be disqualified, prosecuted and debarred for all appointments in NPCIL and his/her application/ appointment will be rejected forthwith and NPCIL will not entertain any correspondence from these candidates :

If the candidates:
a.
Has provided wrong information or submitted false documents; or
b.
Has suppressed relevant information; or
c.
Does not meet the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post; or
d.
Has resorted to unfair means during the Written exam / Recruitment process; or
e.
Is found guilty of impersonation; or
f.
Has created disturbance affecting the smooth conduct of the Written exam at the test or Interview venue; or
g.
Has uploaded non-human or irrelevant photograph.
  1. Only such persons, who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant Disability are eligible to be considered under PWD as per The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995 and the shortlisted applicants shall produce a self-attested copy of prescribed certificate issued by the Competent Medical Authority at the time of verification of certificates.

  2. The OBC applicants who belong to "CREAMY LAYER" are not entitled for OBC concession and such applicants have to indicate their category as "UR".

  3. Candidates for the post of ST/SA (Cat.I) B.Sc., shall input their physical standard i.e. Height & Weight in the appropriate column. The applications in which this column is not filled will be rejected as incomplete application.

  4. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post. Request for change of discipline, post, test centre, test date and timing will not be entertained after submission of online application.

General Instructions
  1. Before applying for any post the candidate should ensure that she/he fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement.

  2. Candidates are advised to have a valid and active personal e-mail ID & phone number till the completion of recruitment process. NPCIL will send intimation / call letter for Written Examination / Interview etc. only through the registered E-mail ID. SMS will also be sent to the candidate if an active mobile number for communication is provided. If the mobile number registered by the candidate is in the TRAI NCPR list (formerly called DND), candidate will not receive SMS alerts related to the registration.

  3. The SC/ST candidates who are not already in service of the Central/State/PSUs and called for interview from outstation will be paid to and fro II class railway fare or ordinary Bus fare on production of tickets excluding 30 km in both ways by the shortest route restricted to correspondence address indicated in the Application filled in while registering application. TA will be reimbursed through e-payment. No TA will be paid for appearing for online written examination.

  4. All candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category shall produce at the time of interview; self attested copy of the caste certificate in the prescribed Central Government format from the Competent Authority empowered to issue such certificate along with originals for verification. OBC certificate shall be of a recent date i.e. issued on or after 01/04/2017 with suitable mention about creamy layer / Non Creamy layer status. (OBC candidates with certificate having the Non-Creamy Layer Clause only will be eligible for reservation as per Government of India guidelines if the caste certificate appears in the Central List). Further, OBC applicants, if called for interview will have to give an undertaking indicating that they belong to OBC (Non Creamy layer) category at the time of reporting for interview.

  5. If the SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer)/PWD certificate has been issued in a language other than English/Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi.

  6. The candidates appointment will remain provisional subject to caste/tribe certificates being verified through proper channel and verification of testimonials. The candidates services will be liable to be terminated forthwith without assigning any reason in case the above verification reveals that his/her claim for belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category and other testimonials is found false. The NPCIL also reserves its right to take such further action against the candidate, as it may deem proper, for production of such false caste certificate.

  7. Candidates working under Central/State Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview. Please note that candidates employed with Govt. Deptt / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies will not be allowed for interviews without production of NOC

  8. PWD candidates called for written test will be allowed to use assistive devices as prescribed. The candidates will intimate the same before the date of written examination at email hrmkgujsite@npcil.co.in.

  9. The recruitment process will consist of Written Test, Physical standard verification (wherever applicable) and Personal interview in that order and /or as prescribed by the Corporation for recruitment of these posts from time to time. Only Screened-in applicants will be called for Written Examination / Physical standard verification/ Interview.

    1. At the time of Interview, shortlisted candidates are required to produce printout of the online application and admit card alongwith all original certificates for verification of date of birth proof

    2. (i.e. Xth Std. passing Certificate indicating Date of Birth OR School Leaving Certificate), caste, disabilities, qualification, experience (if any) etc. and certificate / authentic documents in original in support of any claim for relaxation of age along with self attested copies of all such certificates / documents (Formats can be downloaded from Downloads menu from the website). No candidate will be interviewed, if any of the required certificates / documents are not produced.
  10. Appointment to the Stipendiary Traineeship will be subject to satisfactory reference check and verification of Character and Antecedents (C&A) and Special Security Questionnaire (SSQ) by the prescribed authority. Further, appointment will also be subject to the candidate being found medically fit as per the standards prescribed for the post. The opinion of the Medical Officer authorized by NPCIL in this regard shall be final.

  11. Mere fulfilling of norms will not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for written test/ interview.

  12. Management reserves the right to fill up all the posts or alter the number of posts or even cancel/suspend/postponed the whole process of recruitment and also changing the recruitment criteria without any prior notice/assigning any reasons at any stage. Management may at its discretion, hold re-written exam/ re-interview, wherever necessary in case of any eventualities.

  13. NPCIL reserves the right NOT to select a candidate for a post, if suitable candidate is not found.

  14. In case of any ambiguity / dispute arising on account of interpretation in versions other than English, the English version shall prevail.
