Term of Reference Junior Consultant - Quality Improvement

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) has been set up under the National Health Mission (NHM) as an autonomous registered society, to channelize technical assistance and capacity building support to the states for strengthening the public health system. The NHSRC is also mandated to contribute towards National strategic health planning and programme design.

NHSRC intends recruiting Junior Consultant Quality Improvement, purely on a contractual basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Field visits to handhold the States in implementation of National Quality Assurance Program.
2. Advocacy with the states for fixing the targets for National & State certification against National Quality Assurance Standards.
3. Assist the health facilities with gap closure action and preparing them for the National/ State Certification.
4. Effective co-ordination with State/SQAU/DQAU/Hospital Quality Team on a regular basis to support and facilitate technical support in Quality Management system.
5. Facilitate to conduct of internal & external assessments of healthcare facilities.
6. Function as resource for Trainings & workshops of NQAS & Kayakalp.
7. Carry out analysis of data and information and identify specific strategic measures and operational inputs for initiating/strengthening quality assurance systems.
8. Undertake extensive field visits to monitor progress of Quality programme & its related activities of QI Division of NHSRC.
9. Facilitate development of Resource Material
10. Sharing of Administrative responsibility
11. Any other responsibility as allocated by Advisor (QI).

Qualification and Experience:

1. Possess a Medical/Dental/Ayush degree from a reputed Institute with a full-time Post- Graduation in Hospital Administration/Hospital Management.
2. Have at least more than one-year of Post Qualification experience of facilitating and implementation of National Quality Assurance Standards and Kayakalp initiative.
3. Preference would be given to NQAS trained personnel.

Age Limit: Maximum of 35 years of age at the time of selection.

Location: Though the current position is based in NHSRC New Delhi with requirement of extensive travel, at times to difficult areas.

Remuneration: Upto Rs. 39,000/- per month
