ICMR-NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CANCER PREVENTION & RESEARCH PLOT NO. I-7, SECTOR-39, NOIDA

Applications are invited up to 15.11.2017 for the following posts at the National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research, Noida as per pay scales given against each plus usual allowances as admissible as per Government norms.

Scientist D (Molecular Biology) One post

Pay Scale:

Rs.1560039100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600 (6th CPC)

Essential Qualification & Experience:

First Class Masters degree in Molecular Biology/Microbiology from a recognised University, with 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects after 1st class Masters Degree.

OR

2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology from a recognized University, with 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects after M.Sc. + Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification:

(i) Doctorate Degree in Biomedical Science/Microbiology subject from a recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in HPV associated oral, breast and cervix cancers.
(ii) Published research papers in the field of cancer biology in Pubmed indexed journals with impact factor of at least 2.0.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications and Statistical Methods.

Note: 1. Ph.D. in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience.

2. Additional Postdoctoral research/teaching experience in cancers, molecular biology in a recognized Institute will be preferred.

Job Requirements:

Experience in Molecular genetics/Molecular biology specially related to cancer after obtaining essential qualification. The candidate has to assist in designing projects, write reports and guide students of post graduate and graduate level.

Selection Procedure:

Shortlisted Candidates will be called for personal discussion/interview. Final selection will be as per criteria adopted by the ICMR.

Age limit:

Not exceeding 45 years as on the last date of application.

Scientist D (Population Scientist) One post

Pay Scale:

Rs.1560039100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600 (6th CPC)

Essential Qualification & Experience:

First Class Masters degree in Population Studies/Social Sciences from a recognised University,

with 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects including Demographic and Health related research project, after First Class Masters Degree.

OR

2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in Population Studies/Social Sciences from a recognized University, with 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects including Demographic and Health related research project after M.Sc. + Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification:

(i) Doctorate Degree in Population Studies/Social Sciences from a recognized University.
(ii) Published research papers in the field of cancer in Pubmed, indexed journals with impact factor of at least 2.0.
(iii) Experience in analysing Oncology associated Demographic and Health survey data and

experience in project report preparation.

(iv) Knowledge of Computer Applications and Statistical Methods.

Note: 1. Ph.D. in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience.

2. Additional Postdoctoral research/teaching experience in cancers, Populaion Studies/Social Sciences in a recognized Institute will be preferred.

Job Requirements:

The candidate should be able to help in cancer screening activities in the Camps set up in rural areas and should be willing to get involved in the training of paramedical workers in the field of cancer screening. The candidate should be willing for both, field and clinic based work. The candidate has to assist in designing projects, write reports and guide students of post graduate and graduate level.

Selection Procedure:

Shortlisted Candidates will be called for personal discussion/interview. Final selection will be as per criteria adopted by the ICMR.

Age limit:

Not exceeding 45 years as on the last date of application.

Relaxations:

(i) Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard. However, the prescribed age may be further relaxed in exceptional cases for experienced and qualified candidates.
(ii) Age, qualification and Experience may be relaxed in deserving cases as per the Recruitment Rules of Health Research Scientists cadre of ICMR.
(iii) One time age relaxation is also allowed to Scientific and Technical Staff working in long-term projects in ICMR/Centres for posts advertised under HRSC, 2007 provided they meet essential qualifications and experience for the post with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other candidates as per Councils letter No.6/1/2007-Admn.II dated 28.3.2011

Miscellaneous:

1. Allowances as per Central Govt. Rules are admissible on the above pay scale.
2. Benefits of new restructured defined contributory Pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22/12/2003 effective from 01/01/2004.
3. Private practice is not allowed. However, non-practising allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rules.
4. Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Government funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copies of application will be considered subject to the conditions that a No Objection Certificate from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion.
5. Candidates called for personal discussion/interview have the option to answer in Hindi also.
6. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for further recruitment process. Decision of Director, NICPR, Noida will be final in this regard.

An application fee of Rs.500/- (non-refundable) shall be submitted by each candidate in the shape of RTGS/NEFT in favour of Director, National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research, Noida alongwith application in the prescribed form and attach the copy of proof. No other mode of application fee is acceptable. Fees are payable by all candidates including ICMR employees. Women candidates, persons belonging to SC/ST and persons with Disabilities are exempted from the payment of application fee.

4. Unsigned/incomplete application or application without supportive evidence asked for/ application received late are liable to summarily rejected.

Important:

I) SC/ST and person with disabilities candidates should submit attested copies of certificate for claiming fee concession/age relaxation.
II) OBC certificate for the purpose of age relaxation will mean PERSONS OF OBC CATEGORY NOT BELONGING TO CREAMY LAYER as defined in DOPTs O.M.
