Advertisement for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) within SERB funded research project at Department of Physics, IISER Bhopal

Applications are invited from motivated individuals for a research position in experimental condensed matter physics under the supervision of Dr. Surajit Saha within SERB-DST funded project, as detailed below.

  1. Project title : Integration of Novel 2D Materials with Functional Oxides for New Functionalities: A Raman Spectroscopic Study.

  2. Position : Junior Research Fellow (JRF); ONE position.

  3. Fellowship : Rs. 25,000/- per month.

  4. Eligibility:

    Essential: A Master degree (M.Sc. or M.Tech. or equivalent) in Physics with 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5. A valid qualification of GATE/CSIR-JRF/UGC- JRF/JEST/INSPIRE-PhD or any other national level PhD entrance test or fellowship will be preferred. However, the latter requirement may be relaxed in case of an extra-ordinary candidate with a reduced fellowship as per applicable rules.

    Desirable : A good foundation in condensed matter physics and should have experience in working on condensed matter experimental projects.

  5. Duration : The initial offer will be for one year that may be extended, based on performance and mutual interest. Note: The candidate selected for the position may join the regular PhD program upon meeting the requirements for admission to the PhD program at the Department of Physics, IISER Bhopal.

  6.
