Vacancy Circular for one post of Director General

Applications are invited for the post of Director General, National Water Development Agency (NWDA) in the pay band of HAG Rs. 67000 (Increment @ 3% per annum)-79000/to be filled by deputation (including short term contract). NWDA is an Autonomous Body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Govt. of India. The Director General, NWDA is the Executive Head of the Agency and will have to supervise, guide and coordinate all technical studies, surveys towards achievements of the objectives of the Agency.

The last date for receipt of applications for appointment on deputation (including short-term contract) basis to the post of Director General in National Water Development Agency (NWDA), New Delhi, earlier published in the Employment News on 12-18 November, 2016 is hereby extended up to 15.03.2017.

Those who have applied in response to the Advertisement under reference need not apply again.

  5. Age Limit : The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation (Including Short Term Contract) shall be 57 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

  6. Eligibility Conditions for appointment on deputation (Including Short Term Contract) basis :

1. By deputation:

Officers under the departments of Central Government/ State Governments a)i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or

ii) with 3 years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment theretoon regular basis in the Pay Band-4 (Rs.37400-67000/-and Grade Pay of Rs. 10000/or equivalent posts in the parent cadre/ department; or

iii) Officers with 25 years regular service in Group A posts out of which at least one year regular service should be in the Pay Band 4 ( Rs. 37400-67000) and Grade Pay Rs. 10000/-or equivalent posts in the parent cadre/ department, and,

b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:i) Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/ Institution.

ii) Having worked extensively in the field of Water Resources with at least 20 years of professional experience in surveys, investigations, planning and preparation of project reports, design and construction of major irrigation, hydro-electric, flood control and multipurpose projects, of which at least 10 years experience should be in the senior management level;

2. Short Term Contract :

Candidates belonging to organizations other than (1) above possessing the following qualifications and experience:

i) Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/ Institution.

ii) Having worked extensively in the field of Water Resources with at least 20 years of professional experience in surveys, investigations, planning and preparation of project reports, design and construction of major irrigation, hydro-electric, flood control and multipurpose projects, of which at least 10 years experience should be in the senior management level;

Notes:

  1. The officer should not have been on deputation/ Foreign Service during the last one year to be counted till last date for receipt of applications.

  2. Period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ department of the Central Government, shall ordinarily not exceed 5 years.

  3. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation (Including Short Term Contract) shall be 57 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications

  4. For purposes of appointment on deputation, the service rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to 1.1.2006, the date from which the revised pay structure based on the 6th CPC recommendations has been extended, shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay/ pay scale extended based on the recommendations of the Commission except where there has been merger of more than one pre-revised scale of pay into one grade with a common grade pay/ pay scale, and where this benefit will extend only for the post (s) for which that grade pay/ pay scale is the normal replacement grade without any upgradation.

The selected officer will be treated on Foreign Service terms and his pay will be regulated 17th

in accordance with DOPT O. M No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated June, 2010 in supersession of OM No. 2/29/91-Estt (Pay II) dated 5.1.1994.
