NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites application for the position of Research Scientist (Project) in a DeitY funded project.

Applications are invited for the position of Research Scientist (Project) in the laboratory of Prof. Pravat K. Mandal at National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, India. The scientific interest of the lab is to identify early in vivo biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, new/novel signal processing toolbox (Kalpana), Indian Brain Template and new toolbox (Boldsync for fMRI study). The lab uses multi-modal neuroimaging techniques, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and MEG data to investigate the associated structural, functional, and neurochemical brain alterations, respectively. Emoluments

Essential qualification

M. Tech./ M.E. (with four years research experience) or PhD or thesis submitted in Engineering/Science.
minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.
Minimum two published paper.

Mandatory requirement

Statement of Purpose (SOP) (minimum 500 words) indicating his/her experience/expertise and Masters / PhD. project. Candidate should indicate how his / her experience / expertise will help ongoing research activities of the Neuroimaging and Neurospectroscopy laboratory. Candidate with SOP as well as expertise relevant to lab requirement will be shortlisted.

Screening Criteria

Short-listing of the candidates will be done based on their:

Statement of purpose (that should emphasize how his/her expertise will help to achieve the lab research goal)
Academic credentials (PhD will be preferred).

Job Responsibilities

Candidate will be working in the neuro-imaging and MEG, related research areas.

Tenure
