The more and other important information related to this job specified as Responsibilities: Provide technical inputs/opinion on the issue related to domain area as referred by MWCD; Supervise and guide research and documentation, awareness-generation at the national level, as well as providing inputs/opinions on the issue of gender-based violence, women’s rights and law, as referred to by the National Mission Authority or any other body established under it; Liaise with and strengthen the interface on genderbased violence and legal issues with participating Ministries/Departments, State Governments/UTs, other relevant institutions, and the civil society; Ensure collation and documentation of information, disaggregated data relating to implementation of laws relating to gender based violence, incidence of violence and other gender rights issues; Review laws, policies and programmes relating to women with a view to enable progressive elimination of violence and discrimination against women; Undertake/commission and supervise research studies to assist in framing policies and programmes under the convergence mandate of NMEW in coordination with participating Ministries/Departments; Evolve strategies to incorporate and encourage gender concerns within law enforcement agencies such as police, judiciary, statutory implementing agencies and legislature; Recommend or propose review, enactment or strengthening of laws on gender based violence and gender rights to be taken up for convergence by the National Mission, keeping in view the Mission Plan of Action; Recommend strategies to be adopted and studies to be conducted with regard to the particular domain area by the State Resource Centres for Women; Undertake/Supervise training and capacity building initiatives/activities pertaining to the domain area.
